2023: Ex-Governors, Senators Back Tinubu’s Presidential Bid by hisexcellency34: 8:07am On Jan 21, 2022 |
Majority of former governors and senators across political divide in the country have expressed their readiness to back the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, former Lagos State governor and national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Daily Independent has gathered. A Third Republic senator from the North-Western part of the country, who disclosed this to Daily Independent on Thursday, said many of them who are still in active politics are ready to take Tinubu’s projects as their own. He also said that even those who have said goodbye to partisan politics have expressed their willingness to come out of their shell and lend support to Tinubu’s quest to occupy Nigeria’s highest political office in 2023. Tinubu, then a chieftain of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) represented Nigeria’s largest senatorial district, Lagos West in the National Assembly from 1992 to 1993 as a senator until Third Republic was aborted. Upon the return of democratic governance to the country in 1999, he contested for governor of Lagos State on the platform of the defunct Alliance for Democracy (AD). He won and was reelected for another term in 2003 until 2007. According to our source, “Many of those who are senators in the Third Republic see Tinubu’s project as our project. We will give him the maximum support that he required irrespective of our political divide. I also believe senators who served before us and those who came after us will support him too because there is a group where we all belong. Once a senator, always one. “I can also reliably inform you that it is the same among the 1999 set of governors. Those who are alive will support him. That is the spirit that binds them together in spite of their political leanings or ideologies. So, being a senator and ex-governor gives Tinubu a strong advantage in the 2023 presidential election. His wife is also a current senator. The only way his support base may weaken is if another former governor or senator becomes a presidential candidate”, he said. https://independent.ng/2023-ex-governors-senators-back-tinubus-presidential-bid/ 2 Likes

Those old cargo ex governors and senators are leaders who still believe that Nigerians are still ignorant like them. They are still playing 1999 type of politics in 2022. majority of voters now know what they expect from good leaders. Except some sick voters who supports a leader based on religious and ethnic background. |

ImpostorPrinceOfLagos: Sincerely , you lack the moral high ground to type about deceit when you are an impostor. It's possible that the report is a fiction but it is also not unexpected given the type of camaraderie in that 1993 senate set. The Emir who conferred the title Jagaban Borgu on Asiwaju Tinubu was in the same set and Dr Iyorchia Ayu has used flattering words to describe his personal relationship with Asiwaju Tinubu. It's paranoia when you think everyone is an impostor just because you are one. My appeal goes to patriotic Nigerians to please vote for Asiwaju Tinubu. Asiwaju Tinubu is extremely capable and competent to lead Nigeria to greater heights. Please vote for him. May God bless you and may God bless Nigeria forever. 1 Like |

FreeStuffsNG:as many of your likes who deliberately wants Nigeria to be destroyed by a man who brought disaster upon us, my prayer for you is that: as y’all deliberately support evil, may evil, sorrow, hardship and all kinds of negative circumstances never leave your household. Amen. As you join hands to campaign for a heartless thief, a killer, to become president of Nigeria, just as he has put Lagos inside his pocket,so shall evil pocket you and your household. All of you will leave to reap the reward of your wickedness. |

hisexcellency34: Tinubu will most likely be stopped at the primary. If he scale through the primary hurdle, they north will abandon him with APC and seek new alliance with SS/ SE. I think OSIBANJO will be better to market |

As many of you who are working to install this half-dead meat, the same person who brought buhari who has caused so much hardship and pain, now he comes out to say he wants to become president not because he has anything to offer for the development of Nigeria, but wants to become president to fulfill his life long dream, As many of you who are working for this nightmare to become a reality, May you all become victims of all the troubles buhari has brought upon us. From banditry to economic hardship. AMEN. If you escape it, your children will not escape it.AMEN. If you say you are fortunate enough to fly out of the country and reside in Europe or any where outside Nigeria, may the evils of that place strike you and your family.AMEN. |
