Thank you very much Ma Ameliia....I really appreciate your concerned yesterday. I have sent an email to UKVI complaint department for wrongly denied my wife for a large fund deposit the ECO mentioned. Now I was told to reapply immediately to counter the refusal letter on a ground by providing the statement of account where I transferred the money into my wife bank account. I used my personal bank statement to transferred the money to her which I used the account for miscellaneous and domestic stuff at times, Although I have a salary account which showing a steading 550k monthly salary. We will write a cover letter to address the reason Eco wrongly denied my wife and the kids, also to provide my salary account, personal account I used to transferred the money into her acct, my payslips, and my work ID card, previous bank statement indicating the salary and 1.5m sponsorship fund apart from that no any other funds. Please is that a good ideas? All the gurus ...leef,, madam, cutebear , Ameila, Giselle and everyone AmeliaT: |

[quote author=cutebear post=109564023]I've been waiting since Nov 17th. There are some people who have been waiting since October. If you want to know the exact status of your application, then you should send them a paid mail (https://ukvi.mysecurepay.co.uk/Home) or make a paid phone call to ukvi (+443007906268). [/Thank you Very much for your input I'll do as suggested. But if I may ask, what was the reason in your own case. Cos I thought if there was an issue they'll contact the applicant. ] |

Take all the benefits that come with your UK visa if you have the means. Like you don’t need another visa to visit Cancun Mexico if you have UK visa. Mexico: Visa is not required for passengers holding a valid visa issued by the United States, Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, or a valid tourist visa issued by a Schengen Area member states. Maximum stay of 180 days. 1 Like 1 Share |

Gentlesoul3268: Great you have had a response, But again, you seem so stressed with the bank statement thingy which you shouldn't, do as you have been advised by UKVI, and include other necessary documents like you have noted. Your main worry now should be would your wife be on leave, and your kids on holidays? I am putting into consideration that, that might have been the case for the kids and wife during the festive seasons the initial travel and return date was planned. If that is a possibility, kindly re-apply at anytime your wife and kids still need a valid visa for their trip.. Best of success with their future applications. |

gistbite: My advise thou, if there is no urgency for a visit atm, intended travelers may wish to hang in there a bit, with current review about testing and all going on by the UK government, I expect testing to be scrapped at least for fully vaccinated travelers and maybe a choice thingy for unvaccinated. 1 Like |

If it's MTN you are using it's difficult to pull through, you can try Etisalat, Airtel which are much better. Meanwhile get your debit card close by as card details will be required Shakiratemma: |

There is no harm in reapplying immediately since the denial was based on unfairness and an “error” on the part of the visa officer. Just make sure you do not give them any benefit of the doubt this time, because there might be extra scrutiny on the application, since you are opposing your initial denial, and also make sure you address the error and any other necessary issue on this decision which prompted your immediate reapplication. All the best! Gentlesoul3268: |

Goodday, I was refused Uk visa and feel its too short a time to reapply. Hence i am applying for the German schengen visa of 90 days.Seeing your message now means this is also a wrong move as I need schengen of 180 days right. Please respond. mamawa123: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by leef2022: 5:35pm On Jan 21, 2022 |
beautyuche: The op never implied that you have made any wrong moves or should not go ahead with your german visa application. The op was only pointing out or drawing awareness of some secondary benefits that comes with having a valid visa(s) for any of these states UK, US, Japan, Eu states and schengen territories. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by virgoago4: 7:16pm On Jan 21, 2022 |
After contacting the visa office they told me a decision has been made. After plenty probing and email then i got this reply .............................................. SITEL UPDATE Dear customer Thank you for your SITEL enquiry Your visa application is still currently being processed. I have escalated this to the appropriate entry clearance officer. This means you will receive your visa decision and passport as soon as possible. If you require your passport and/or documents back immediately for travel or emergency, you are free to withdraw by making a request via the Visits.UKCustomerEnquiries@fco.gov.uk email. Please note however that this will cancel the application and we will be unable to refund you. If your passport is currently in a red list country, please enquire with your VAC regarding possible temporarily withdrawal of your passport. Please note some red list VACs are currently closed, passports will not be able to be submitted or retrieved until the ban is lifted. Kind Regards UK VISA AND IMMIGRATION (UKVI) ......--------------------------------------------------- Please how can i ask for my passport without cancelling my application. Someone/anyone/everyone help. User needs his passport ASAP and confused. |

leef2022: I see them going the Switzerland route and shortening the validity for said vaccine certificates in order to boost vaccination. If they do that then ppl will still be screwed either way 1 Like |

Hello. How does one go about biometrics? Is it to be done before going for an appointment or after? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by ambgiano(m): 9:44pm On Jan 21, 2022 |
Good evening everyone, My friend and I both applied for a standard visitors visa in October. We did our biometrics on October 25, 2021 at TLS Ikeja. After three months of waiting for decision precisely January 10, my friend got his, which was a refusal. Til date, I have not received any refusal or collection mail while my friend is already collecting his passport on Monday when we did our biometrics same day. I'm curious now! What could be the problem? What can I do? Advise me please, NLders. |

ambgiano:I did mine same day as you 25th October at VI even went there on Wednesday to check and I was told that my passport hasn't arrived yet and they have issues with October. That I should exercise a little more patience. It's frustrating. But hoping for the best. |
