Balloon d’or was only for Europeans until FIFA started giving it to the best in the World. They also started giving it out to non Europeans.

Ballon dor na for bigger boys. Accredited journalists in all the countries vote. Unlike FIFA world best that give biased fans chance to vote. Thats why Ramos and Marcelo made the 2019 fifpro xi over Robertson and Arnold. Any votes by fans are mostly done with emotions. Journalists vote based on performance of players in the year under review . fact
