Abraham Lincoln's quote, Whatever you are, be a good one.

May this mark the beginning of your goodness and not the end, this would give the credence to hardwork pays.

Yes! When he has LEGIT money, not cocaine-trafficking money.

That is why all cocaine-trafficking bastards in your region are given chieftaincy titles because your father, mother, brother, aunty & king all worship money. grin

Go to school. At 21, u are still his responsibility. He has to see u through University education since u said he is well to do. If u abandon education for a job of 40k while squatting with ur uncle to raise money to go to school, u will suffer at the long run. Even ur uncle who may be struggling will get tired of u. Ur house is ur house. If u graduate at 25 or 26 and go for service then u can leave the house.

[quote author=definitelyME post=109603710]I will be 21 years old by June this year and I am currently out of school(dropped out for some personal reasons last year) but I will going back to school in a few months time since i gained admission this year.. I still live with my parents and to be honest, the pressure to leave my parents house especially from my dad's side has been much this past few years(although he wouldn't say it directly). Although my father is a very well to do man, with lots of properties I can't even keep track of, he always emphasise on the need for me to go a hustle for my own money and not depend on his(which I know is for my own good and I am currently working towards that).. After much thought to it, and not to forget I am the first child of five children, and two of my younger siblings who I senior with 3 and 5 years respectively, will also be writing jamb this year too seeking admission, I am currently nursing the idea to abandon the admission I've gotten this year and go look for a job. A job that pays at least 40-50k so I can work through out the year and make savings of at least 30k every Month, then at the end of the year, I use about half of the savings to start a business that can run while I school. Like okada business.

Note- I have already gotten potential jobs I would be submitting my c.v for one of them on Monday. And If I eventually get the job, I would be going to work from my uncle's apartment (he is still young too 27, without kids)..

So would you advise me to sacrifice one year for work or just accept my admission and go to school

if you have a sponsor or some one that will pay for your tuition fee, please go to school, before you know it you re done, go for nysc, save up and rent a place, get a better job and live your life, also pray for God's direction

Go straight to school , while in school you can then be hustling. Don't waste any more year , time flies away. University life is too sweet. You won't regret it. Don't join cult. Go there caught much fun while you study.

The earlier you know that, the better you stopped this your weak mentalities

Am not tribalistic, am only suggesting that MC oluomo that made his money from Lagos should give back to the society

if truly your father is well to do as u said, then he's an irresponsible man. You're too young to face the travails of life without a compass to navigate. He should at least see u through school.
