Let me repost what I posted on Twitter:

The Tunisian coach is out coaching @coacheguavoen so far. Besides doubling up on Simon M, they are also out hustling us and denying us spaces, especially in final 3rd. I honestly don’t know what Eguavoen’s game plan is. If there’s one, I am yet to see it thus far.

They've managed to clip our wings, cuz they know that's where our strength lies.

Nacho who is spozed to be the extra man in the middle is drifting to the wings making the midfield thinner.

Through passes from the middle would help break them down. Take advantage of the 3 men marking our wingers, bring the ball back to the middle, attack from there.

Iwobi for Nacho

If there's anything we do here, it's that we even fear opposition. But Ghana needs to be shut up for once. this is not 2009. March is the date for your tears.

I would bring in Nwakali or Onyeka to take back the midfield. Tunisia have too much time on the ball

Eguavoen is becoming another Rohr. Reactionary and one-directional. How can we be playing the same strategy even after it has been found out and nullified? All it takes is a decent opposing tactician and Nigeria is gone.

I foresaw this two games ago.

Tactics.

The major problem we are having: Tunisia know our game plan, Ekong/Omeruo play long ball to Simon. They have blocked it using two ways: 3 men on Simon at all times, choke midfield forcing us to not play the ball on the ground and be forced to go long.

How do we solve the problem?

1) Chuks need to leave this game. Ejuke should have come in for Chuks at half-time and do what Simon was trying at the left. They had 3 men on Simon, such a change would force them to put men on Ejuke leaving the middle ripe for picking. I wonder why the coach didn't see this coming.

2) Iheanacho needs to leave this game. Put Onyeka in for him, move Aribo closer to the goal. This will choke the midfield, allowing us to play through instead of playing long.

3) Have our full-backs overlap. Simon is too isolated, Aina sitting back is leaving our right wing dead attack-wise.

Eguavoen really only needs two things to win this game.

Get his wingers to drag defenders sideways. Then, release the ball through the space left in the middle.

We need to start taking the battle to them. Eguavoen is becoming another conservative Rohr.

I will take off awoniyi and bring in another midfielder I.e Nwakali, iwobi or onyeka and push Aribo as a 10 while iheanacho as the 9. The only reason that I’m keeping iheanacho is simply because of his “finishing acumen” you want your best finisher on the pitch
