drDoom3:The players themselves said it that he gave them freedom, meaning that there was little guidance coming from him, only first eleven, position and substitution. |

Subzero47:I can still remember some of Uzoho's "saves" at the 2018 WC. Even a guy beside me then remarked that it would take the grace of God for him not to concede. Maduka isn't reliable. He is mistake prone. I wanted to recommend Akpeyi but I watched one of the training videos, and what I saw from Akpeyi!!!, lemme just leave it cos he never featured. Make l drag only those wey play. Right now the position is very open. I still believe in Maduka though. I've seen some of his saves. He has talent but lacks confidence. 1 Like |

The frustrating thing about yesterday is that we didn't get outclassed. I still feel we might have gotten something out of the game if Iwobi didn't get sent off. Harsh sending off and all but I'm still mad he got sent off! Bringing Iwobi on was not a bad move tbh. Getting that red card is just....unexplainable! 5 Likes |

JohnBullMySon:Maduka is a young keeper who gets harshly criticized by most with an agenda. Dude loses concentration at crucial periods sometimes but he's definitely not as bad as they are making him out to be. He's young and will get better. 2 Likes |

JohnBullMySon: Nothing is wrong with that. After all, Nigeria has always played with vibes. The problem is when there are flaws in the positions themselves. Not being flexible enough to change them when necessary too. |

JohnBullMySon: Uzoho put in big performances in the World Cup qualifiers and the World Cup proper especially against Argentina I don't know why you are putting it in asterisks, Maduka Okoye on the other hand is judged by potential and other keepers we have in the squad and not on what he does in the field, he has never impressed me or proved why he deserves the number 1 shirt na just hype and vibes 1 Like |

zuchyblink: Oga even with Ighalo and Moses nothing would have happened in that game... We didn't lose the game for a dearth of talent or experience. We lost because players got lazy (probably because of Rohr syndrome where everybody knows who is gonna play) and poor coaching anticipation and flexibility. Las las Musa wey get experience pass everybody you see him contribution for the game? 1 Like |

JohnBullMySon: Sincerely though I have not seen an eagles game where Maduka showed that he has what it takes. 60% of his games, he hasn't touched ball. The remaining 40%, every two shots they have scored him one. Remember, we had two defensive off the line clearances yesterday where Maduka looked totally lost (cc early first half, Ndidi off the line). For Uzoho, I can remember at least 3 games where he gave off prime Alisson vibes. Against Brazil, the guy looked untouchable. Tunisia at AFCON 2019, we were bashing Rohr for not playing him throughout. There are more but this is just off the top of my head. 2 Likes |

drDoom3: We had 13 shots in the match. We kept creating chances with a man down. Iwobi brought in energy and keep in mind it was an attacking sub. You still had Chukwueze and Simon on the pitch. So how do you want him to play Ejuke along with Simon and Chukwueze? We played well yesterday. We got at the Tunisians. We did not take our chances. Then the red card made it difficult for us. Haba. Iwobi was playing well before the red card. So how can you criticize the change? 1 Like |

drDoom3:Uzoho had a major save against Brazil. the remaining two actually struck the bar and wasn't saved by him, though he showed good diving skills. Maduka had a major save against Tunisia in 2020, against Sudan and against Tunisia yesterday. Almost everyone forgot the yesterday one. 2 Likes |

drDoom3:Were not playing street football. In professional football, a lot of technicalities come into play. Coaches target a scoreline at times. Some times specific instructions must be given. You can't just allow players to play as they like all the time. |

Good everyone hope we are all out of the ICU But seriously speaking yes yesterday hurt but there will be better days that's how life rolls. More importantly I want to appeal to all of us fans and supporters (even trolls ) to please do better. All this toxic online/offline behavior has to stop. Maduka made a mistake yesterday yes but no matter how pained you are why wish death on the young man? Why abuse and insult Safari girl based on her womanhood what has that got to do with football? Is she the head coach that put Maduka in goal. Let's all learn how to manage success and defeat. Not become insufferable and arrogant when we win or pessimistic and abusive when we lose let's do better please. 3 Likes |

For me, the coach takes all the blames. You know you have become too predictable. You know Moses would be marked. You know they will defend tightly. Why start with the same team, same approach, same tactics, same system? What happens to tweaking the system to take the opponents by surprise? What happens to using Iwobi, Aribo and Ndidi from the onset? What happens to stsrting Moses from the bench and start with Ejuke or Onyekuru? Being too predictable with a predictable system is a recipe for failure. Because soon, your opponent will decipher you and demisticate your system. |

Zanistico: We have Uzoho... Maduka is similar to Joe Hart they are both error prone and error prone goalkeepers make you lose matches... Loris Karius never played a serious match for Liverpool after the UCL 2018 final errors he made.. for now, Maduka must be dropped.. 2 Likes |
