Joezinho: Thank you, and instead of the dribbling inwards, from the approaching of the 18yard box, they will rather stay on the flanks till they got there, then attempted to dribble in, Plus they were bereaved of ideas, A Vicmo would had use those 3 to 4 players marking his, to draw fouls upon fouls, and it would had been them getting red, not us Btw it is well, it had come and go, we hope for the best moving forward 1 Like |

Joezinho: Eguavoen wasn't outcoached take it or leave it... In the first 10 mins of the 1st half the Tunisians were defensive and playing with inferiority complex but they noticed we were also defensive and playing with inferiority complex just like them so they capitalized on it.. Plus the referee was not giving SE free-kicks and fouls.. SE should have had a penalty in the 1st half.. there was never any "surprise factor"... In the group stages, SE played attacking football and off the ball they played pressing football.. Against Tunisia, SE played defensive and inferiority complex football and a totally different game from what they played in the group stages... the loss was caused by goalkeeping mistake and not playing the football they played in the group stages.. 2 Likes |

When we look at everything honestly, our biggest problem in this tournament was not taking our chances. We had the problem in each of our games. What helped us was that our defense did really well in the group stages. The only times we had defensive lapses, we were punished. Unfortunately, one of them came in the knockout stages. Most of what people are saying now is because we lost. If we had taken out chance and won, the story would have been "even with a man down, we still played them and won". Na so football be. But now, some are saying Rohr would have not lost, forgetting that we were already on a downward trajectory, even losing to CAR at home. We weren't supposed to have played well. We weren't even considered favourites until we started the tournament. All this anger is understandable sha. It is emotional and understandable. In my opinion, we should let Eguavoen continue if he's willing to. There's a lesson every coach learns and I hope this one is his. 5 Likes |

andrewbaba44:actually we do. We act like they are some zlatan that should retire, or that they are selfish and should give way for the younger ones. I wonder how this logic makes sense one bit. Its not just about Ighalo. Its also about VicMo too. Knowing what an experienced player can do in several circumstances is way better than sitting duck and waiting for luck from an inexperienced young talented player. Especially one that feels only what the coach says should be final as regard positioning and shooting. I won't be surprised if i see at least one of the two of them recalled for Ghana tie. Not that i want them fully back, but that disrespect should just stop. 1 Like 1 Share |

We may just have to bury nostalgia and change style of play for good. This usual pass ball from left to right till we see an opening bores me sincerely. With the defenders having more of the ball than even the middle. We look for openings not cracking down. We need to specialize in this crackdowns with sleek passing. I expected Coachito to just study the Gambia game and use it or tweak it to be better. Especially making them not know the obvious approach. Big undoing mehn. Big one. And i don't regret the Rohr sack. Its only Normal some do this nonsense Rohr thing cos a failure came up. Those it pained weeped and that shows passion and believe. The tactic let them down. 1 Like |

superbloke: Eguavoen should only continue if his never going to play the "inferiority complex" football we saw.... That's why people are angry... he must also start with a midfield of Aribo, Onyeka and Ndidi in every starting eleven with Iwobi, Nwakali and Bonke as replacements. then Ejuke should replace Chuks in the starting eleven then Onyekuru, Olayinka, Ebuehi, Aina should be ahead of Chuks on the bench.. |

drDoom3: I disagree , Probably the lowest ranked player in the squad is Nwakali, playing for Huesca in the Segunda Division. He selected him over and above proven and tested EPL players in the midfield like Iwobi and Onyeka. |

In conclusion, Eguavoen is a piss-poor coach who had nothing but the element of surprise and the Egyptian coach's incompetence to thank for his fluke win over Egypt. I have always been shouting since the Sudan game that all it would take is a half-decent tactician to knock Eguavoen out cold. 1 Like |

jihday: Eguavoen very good manager, but poor tactician. His use of Onyeka and Sadiq Umar might have cost us this championship. Being indigenous is a good thing, but quality is very necessary. When the new manager bounce is over, all his deficiencies will be laid to bare. 2 Likes |

I see a lot of statements flying around in the name of criticisms and I will highlight how off point they are. We were defensive We attacked from the blast of the whistle until the end. So how can you say we were defensive. The coach should have not started the same team. How do you expect the coach to drop one of the best selections of the group stage. Please, you do not change a winning team. The Tunisians studied our game and we were to make changes. We troubled them from the start. With Simon Moses running the flanks and drawing players, we had space in the center to attack. The coach did not change tactics. Haba. What did the coach do when he took off Iheanacho and Awoniyi, and brought in Olayinka and Iwobi. We needed Ighalo. This is the funniest. This happens when the person is not watching the dynamics on the field. The Tunisians were sound in keeping possession and it was difficult for us to fight for the ball with Iheanacho and Awoniyi. Despite them being fairly fast, they could not meet up. So the coach brought in players to offer much pace to fight for the ball. So you are suggesting the coach should have played Ighalo who works less than these guys. By the way, Ighalo can not give us the kind of work and play Sadiq gave us. So how can you suggest Ighalo. 1 Like |

Chukwueze is another total scam who had no right to start this game. Dude obviously forgot his brains in Spain before coming. Can't beat his marker to save his life. Yesterday that Tunisia double-marked him, the masquerade was sure to be exposed. Ahmed Musa would have provided much more starting at RM. At least he could have used his speed to press defenders if nothing else. Chukwueze was blank and bland. But because Chuks started in the win against Egypt, Mr. Austin Rohrguavoen the one-directional dinosaur decided to start him. 1 Like 1 Share |

Curtisaxel10: Story. We created more chances than the Tunisians. We were the better side. I guess the Tunisians had the element of surprise. They scored through a goal keeping error and helped by an unfair red card. That was not down to their tactics. 1 Like |

Semi Ajayi showed his aerial prowess and superior ball-carrying capacity which could have helped us but no, Mr. Rohrguavoen the unidirectional dinosaur was hell-bent on replicating his Egypt starting eleven. 1 Like |

forgiveness: I know that you know and will say so , do you think if Awoniyi was in the EPL he would have scored 9 Goals ❓❓. I don't at all. To score in the EPL is much much harder than the Bundesliga. And in that context I rate , Dennis as the most in form striker in Nigeria in the HERE and NOW. |

Curtisaxel10: What is pocket? If we were in the pockets, we would not create almost double the chances that the Tunisians did. You think we created those chances by being poor? Please, we were the better side. If you want to criticise, be factual about it. |
