This Saleh guy is mad...if Buhari was made to account for some of his statements before he was elected president, he wouldn't have been given any chance atall. This is a statement made in 1997; 25years ago. What was the prevailing circumstance around that time that made him to make such statement? People change, also views change. Atleast we are all aware that even as at 1957, the northern leaders led by Tafawa Balewa were opposed to the idea of independence for this country. There no need for that even if he said that. The question is where was Nigeria in 1997? The cancelled election, assassinations going on the insecurities at that time were enough to make him make such a comment. Araba is also a Hausa word that can relate to Tinubu's comment used by the July '66 coupists who felt they don't believe in one Nigeria.
