At the end of the match, most teams good in possession will hold the ball. Sadiq and Olayinka were already doing that. Simon equally was working too. Apart from set piece, it will be hard to throw more players forward. You still have to maintain shape.

Actually, I got distracted by the world cup playoff draw and I wanted the Eagles home early, as a wake-up call in order to give me a better outing in the double header against Ghana. Manchester United will pick Haaland over Ronaldo today. Same with Manchester City or Chelsea.

Why, Haaland is now on another level. Apart from goals, Ronaldo can not give you the kind of work needed.

Football is not just about history. At the moment, Cavani can not give you the kind of work Osimhen will give you. It is not about history but what they have to offer now.
