Despite the disappointment, which is expected, we still are the better team compared to other African teams going to the mundial, historically. All that came in were offensive runners. Iwobi, Olayinka, Sadiq and Musa. Sadiq even being the slowest but still did loads of offensive running.

Our world cup preliminary round qualifiers was poor and ultimately saw the coach loose his job. We couldn't even beat a ragtag Tunisian team in the 2nd round of the Afcon. But somehow we are the best team going to the Mundial (we haven't even qualified yet).
When you say historically, are you saying Nigeria has better records at the world cup than the rest of Africa?

Please there was nothing memorable about the Iceland match. The first half was a bore fest while the 2nd half was just enough to beat Iceland who historically are the smallest country ever to qualify for the World Cup whilst making their debut. Chest beating about winning Iceland tells a sad story of our current state of football.
