Mujtahida: This exactly has always been my point... If we must give a foreigner the job, let it be one with some promising CV...This Peseiro guy has been coaching for like 30 years now and has managed up to 20 teams...Na proper journeyman be that... Pinnick goofed with this one..Instead of throwing the job open for interest applicants, he went to consult Mourinho who sentimentality recommended his former assistants to him..I mean, all three names that were touted for the job were Mou's former assistants... Absolutely no sense in that. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

BascoVanVeli: You are forgetting a big factor. We were down to ten men. So you need enough midfield and defense presence. I am not saying the call to double up with an extra tall striker is wrong but the given circumstance means we needed players with pace to compensate for the loss of a player. 1 Like |

Danielnino00: The NFF contracts hungry coaches with dubious CV's that will play game with them. That means a big % of their salary will go to someone that's in the NFF in the first instance. He will be amiable to them NFF putting in their favoured player's in his team selection. Finally, a coach that they can manipulate and or enforce their decisions upon. Glen Hoddle is absolutely not hungry and has a very impressive CV. But you and everyone knows he will not be dominated or told what to do by the NFF. No deals no untoward business. NFF asked for half his salary he told them where to go. It's obvious ,the NFF are just like our Nigerian politicians, appointment is made not on competence but loyalty and willingness to do anything he who appoints you wants. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Besides, i feel the pain of expectations is worse due to this Betting thing. To me, they aren't fans again. Sincerely. Someone that bets and wants what he or she took to be the only outcome will be in rage and can issue curses and death threats such as seen days back, even till now. I've seen a guy cry his eyes out for that Ghana comoros game. He picked a win for Ghana. He was Nigerian. He still curses till now+The SE lose. He can have hbp if his bet doesn't click again this Afcon. |

Interesting comments by Yeboah , add that to the comments of Salisu about being asked to pay bribe before playing for Ghana. Add the further comments made by Mbappe Father about Cameroon asking for Bribe. Now consider our coaches Salisu and SiaSia and both indicted for corruption. But welcomed back to the NFF as if nothing happened. Then looking at this journey man coach we have contacted. Then add my first hand comments about a certain bullish coach asking Some Aluko must change his agent to his preferred agent before he can play for the SE . Does anybody think that the NFF is corruption free ? and if not then what role has corruption played in our early exit from this tournament prior and after.

komekn:On this occasion,I agree with you... Nearly all the top guns in the glass house are politicians who know little about football... One thing is for sure, Pinnick will do all he can to make sure we qualify for Qatar...There's a lot of financial benefits that await the NFF just for qualifying.. ... Arab money will go round... 4 Likes |

TheSuperNerd: Lol...sincerely I am at a cross road..kinda confused.cos looking at d Tunisian match critically it shows eguavoen has some limitations in his tactical ability. A sound coach could av rescued something out of dt match prior to d red card.however going forward I would suggest a rejig in d t.c 1)maybe get a decent sound foreign T.A while eguavoen takes d role of d head coach in d team(reason is eguavoen presence in d team will maintain d bond we av presently in d team;WC shows he's a very good manager just like rohr / TD in d NFF set up(his former role). shorunmu shld replace our current g.k coach, maintain Dr terry, add imama or any oda decent npfl coach to come replace yobo, salisu goes to 2nd assistance while Paul and yobo leaves d team(dem no kuku useful b4) 2) we add amuneke to d present coaching crew to act as TD while every oda person would maintain deir position..aside yobo and paul .however dis time around,d TD won't work afar from d team like eguavoen does during rohr.he would b present in deir trainings, drillings, team selection.I believe eguavoen is cool headed and will b willing to work with anybody. Both can even b on d touchline dishing out instructions same way we c Sam alardyce and Sammy Lee does 2 Likes 1 Share |

komekn: That Siasia's case is just a joke as far as I am concerned. Siasia had no idea the man was a match fixer. No one knew until he was caught. He was just an agent at that time trying to secure a job for Siasia. He requested that if he helps Siasia, Siasia will help sign his players. It is a normal thing in football. Mendes got Espirto Di Santo the job at Wolves and Wolves signed loads of his players. Mendes landed Mourinho the job at Chelsea and Mourinho brought in the likes of Pereira, Cavalho, and Maniche under Mendes agency. That was the agreement Siasia did. It is just unfair the way Siasia was treated. He was clearly innocent. 1 Like |

Amaju Pinnick and his crew should stop wasting time. Officially reappoint the coaching crew and Eguavoen as manager now. Let us kick of preparation for the playoff immediately. The coaching crew need to get back to work now. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe:Eguaveon did what? Third place finish in AFCON is not an achievement in Nigeria not to talk of exiting the competition in the round of 16. Please stop praising mediocrity. That match showed how tactically inept Eguaveon is,no plan B at all. 9 Likes |

zuchyblink: You can only type tactical inept but you can not prove it by stating how. Secondly, do you understand that man ran a crash program with those guys, few days together and turned them to one of the fiercest team in the competition. He literally spent days with them and was awarded the best coach of the group stage. We were eliminated through unfortunate events, not poor coaching. Please respect when someone does well. Even me that is not an Eguavoen fan was totally impressed. The man is a sound tactician and coach. Finito. 10 Likes 1 Share |

TheGoodJoe: I don't want to call Eguavoen a poor tactician. He was not just outclassed, he was in want of ideas. Have you forgotten that I said Eguavoen showed the mentality of a loser when he talked about his sleepless nights spent in the effort to draft the 28 man list. I said that it shouldn't be so. Life is predictable, we spot patterns, and we tell. Eguavoen was clearly in want of ideas. Coming to tell us the boys tried, is akin to saying i spent sleepless nights drafting the 28 man list. Efforts without intelligence will make excuses and failure. Eguavoen was outclassed. Dude also knows subconsciously that he will fail and you can tell from his speeches, his excuses etc. 6 Likes 1 Share |

TheGoodJoe:anybody can be a coach but what differentiates coaches are their ability to think out of the box. From the first minute to the last minute we were not in control of the game even when we have the possession. We were totally out-classed, out-smarted and out- maneuvered |
