drDoom3: You can talk about tactical motifs but the point remains that we were the superior side and created far more chances than the Tunisians. They scored through a Goalkeeper error. Eguavoen did his job. He made tactical switches that were right. So the suggestions are preferences. 1 Like |

Meliforme: This is you just being negative. We were clearly one of the best teams in the group stage. Eguavoen was voted best coach of the group stage. We played better than the Tunisians. We created far more chances, even with a man down. He was very sound. The individual brilliance you now want to claim showed because of the tactical improvement Eguavoen brought. You guys are being fictitious with your criticisms. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: I can't agree less. We outplayed the Tunisians even being a man down. We only laacked two players in that game: a goalie and a striker. Else it would have been a different story today. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Meliforme: All you are typing does not add up because we were by far the better side than Tunisia. If Tunisia was better, then we can sit down to analyze how we would have played better. However, when we created 13 goal attempts, while they created 7, Haba, the coach has done well. Players that we even wanted off the squad. Moses Simon, I wanted him dropped. We saw how poor Ekong was for Watford. On this thread, people criticized his poor ball-handling skills and how he was poor passing. I wanted Jamilu off. However, under Eguavoen, he was a masterclass. I could not believe it. Even in our eyes, Sadiq so improved. Yet, you are trying to deviate the praise and make it individual brilliance. Sometimes you guys can be shocking. Moses Simon became Okocha, Ekong became rock defender, aka pass master and you want to make it that it has nothing to do with the coach. Sorry, fictitious claims. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Eguavoen tried. He did very well. It is unfortunate how the game turned out but we can not deny that he was effective. A harsh red card and a goalkeeper error did the team harshly. Yet, we were still superb. 12 Likes 2 Shares |

andrewbaba44:I wish we could. But If I remember Nigeria vs Mexico. I relax with what we have now. Maybe we should try Uzoho against Ghana, so Maduka can fight for the position. I believe he has talent more than Uzoho, but honestly, Uzoho will not easily make that mistake he did. |

forgiveness: Where is it written he was removed because the tactical set up was not working? It is written clearly that Lukman was playing poorly and taken off. How is that a tactical reason. Leave it, if you do not know. |

As an opponent, if you want to defeat the super eagles, just crowd your midfield and allow us to attack from the wings and your chances of winning is High. (Inferior team wise) while superior team can afford to tackle us man v man and win. Was it the same way in the 90’s?? A question to my OG 3 Likes |

Icon4s: Those were markers of time actually. Morning and Evening. It marked a full day. Which is why that sentence kept reoccurring. We have no prove except the one before our eyes in Gen. 1. So instead of thinking it was morning and evening work, we have to believe it was a full day work, marked by those timelines. |

If there is any continent that needs a nation league it's Africa, if we can, let's add some top Asian teams, make afcon a 3 year cup... Else our standard of football will remain poor... I feel the top teams in Africa are stagnant and have not grown since the growth other 1990's , hence why this minnows are seemingly catching up, big African teams should be thrashing some particular nations, but we see 1-0 score lines every where, bring a European team to play those minors now, you will a thorough thrashing by them just playing basic tactics of passing and movement... Please African federation should get world class tactician with good backroom staffs at every level from under 17 - to the senior team.. It's embarrassing some scenes in this afcon, especially the refereeing, very appalling, like is our football a joke to caf? 2 Likes |

Last Afcon i think, Uganda had a stunner from long range, accurate and breathtaking. Now, this time, its Malawi that did this long range again. East African teams have this specialty. Its not sheer luck. Lets borrow their book for long range stunners too. A Pity Hakim ruined the night for them. 1 Like |

NFF needs to improve their timelines in taking key decisions... With WCQ in March, it only makes sense that the position of Head coach for the team is clarified quickly. A new coach needs some time to hit the ground running... Waiting up till the eleventh hour to make such a decision is a recipe for disaster.. |
