cigaricon: You should be open to learn new things. Simply reading through people's responses should have taught you that 9 can't be the answer. Not when you have 3!. But I get it factorial wasn't taught to most people who did maths. But if had done further maths you would have recognised 3! for what it was and not assumed it was 3 with an exclamation mark. 1 Like |

Where make the factorial go, you don send am go your village for Daura ni? 3! implies 3x2x1= 6 psucc: |
Re: Mathematics Challenge: 50% Will Fail This! by benuejosh: 10:16am On Jan 26, 2022 |
jericco1:! = simply means factorial. This then implies that any number you see that has that sign, you multiply it by the numbers before it till you get to 1. So 3! Means 3x2x1 which is equal to 6. So in the equation, you collect like terms by bringing the 6 together which makes it 6+6 = 12. Y-6=3! Y-6=3x2x1 Y-6=6 Collect like terms Y=6+6 Y=12. So if you have lets say 8! It means 8x7x6x5x4x3x2x1. 1000! Mean 1000x999x998x997x996...x1. 5 Likes 1 Share |

You have spoiled the fun, the instruction was to obscure how you got it, so we can see what others derived. ChiefS: |

That exclamation mark behind the 3 on the question part is a factorial hence, the answer is 12 (c) |
