The last update i got from there, They took me to where our files where piled up. I no go lie i shouted, more than a million files of unprocessed passport.

I spoke to an officer, and he is asking me to pay 25k to move my file forward and hv it processed. i am considering to risk it & cough up the Pay. it was DIY.

I have come to testify that DIY actually works o. I initially wanted to use an agent I was referred. Infact I was at the point of payment to her when I check and saw this thread. My dear NLers, I eventually paid online on the 5th of January, 2022 and took the advise of somepeople here to go even before the appointment date. I went back to the Ikoyi passport office on the 7th of January and used strong head to ensure that I submit my documents and capture that day. At the pont of capturing, I saw on the monitor facing me that my collection date was 12th of January, 2022. Come and see me smiling na.

I went back there on the 12th with the paper given after capturing and was told that my file wasn't submitted. Chai, I wan cry. I was directed back to servicom and took my file to the capturing room and they did some confirmation and I was told that it was okay. I went home but a few days after I started engaging NIS on twitter after the ban was lifted, they eventually responded to me yesterday, saying my passport was ready.

I just collected my passport a few minutes ago and it was actually issued on the 13th of January, 2022. I never believed that getting a passport would be this quick without any bribe or mago mago.

In all, I spent just N26,500 for 32 pages.

Passport fee: N25,000
Paystack processing fee: N1,000
Notary public seal: 500 ( This was done at the mobile court inside the passport office)

My dear people, please and please, do this thing yourself. Let's all play our role in eradicating the deep-rooted corruption prevalent in our government parastatals.

So I have been following up with the NIS facebook page concerning my fresh passport that I have done capturing for since August 18th at the Abeokuta office.
I ranted to the handler yesterday and that I would be needing it very soon (in about a month's time), so the handler suggested that I pay extra for express.

I just want your opinion if this won't be a scam before I proceed. I am honestly tired of waiting. It's already 5 and half months.

During mine ..I called Abuja office ..layed my complains .. the customer care officer I spoke with was very clalm and attentive

Alright,so i was at gra junction ph yesterday jan27th and just a stone throw away is the immigration office at rumoula there,so i went in to make an actual inquiry about the passport an all and met this official at the gate who showed me to a different man waiting outside, i know alot about DIY but i wanted to just watch him go(blab).

So,he said to procure the passport i had to pay 40k,i was like sir do you know you actually pay online? And he said ya,but when i come back there(immigration office) i will have to pay COMMITMENT FEE 10k,wtf? I guess he was satisfied by the bs,but i wasn't in for it,he wouldn't even let me go in to have a chat with the actual officials.

Please if you've been able to DIY in ph,i may need your guidance.
