Air Peace deploys two new aircraft on Anambra route Air Peace, Nigeria’s leading airline, has announced the deployment of its brand new Embraer 195-E2 and Boeing 737 aircraft on the Anambra route. Spokesperson of the airline, Stanley Olisa, confirmed the development in a statement issued in Lagos on Wednesday. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the development followed the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCCA) recent approval of the Anambra Airport to operate B737-700 and its equivalent aircraft. Olisa explained that the airline has also increased flight frequencies on specific domestic routes, including Anambra. He noted that the airline’s brand new Embraer 195-E2 and Boeing 737 aircraft, with more passenger capacity, would be deployed on the route, adding that frequency had been increased to daily flights for Anambra. “This new development means more flight availability for passengers flying the route, which is reflective of the airline’s resolve to ease the burden of air travel in the country. https://thenationonlineng.net/air-peace-deploys-two-new-aircraft-on-anambra-route/ 12 Likes

Anambra Airport Upgrade: Governor Obiano Visits Facility, Anticipates Further Upgrade By Ejike Abana (ABS Government House Correspondent) Following approval by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to Anambra State government to operate Boeing 737-700 aircraft and its equivalent at Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport, Umueri, Governor Willie Obiano paid a visit to the facility to ensure that things are working according to scheduled plans. globemoney01:I have always said this abt the gov. I admire his political moves...the kind of politics he played with the govt at the centre leaves so much admiration. Despite the state not being an APC state...so many goodies Anambra has been able to benefit from d govt at the centre. The last election was also a testimony to the good politics he plays. Everything is not by gragra and opening mouth up and down like some govs/groups. In this life, there’s always a way out when u apply wisdom. Things will always work out for u because u employed wisdom. Anambra is gradually becoming the centre of envy/admiration for those who wrote us off in d past. I believe we will get there with Soludo. If APGA of Anambra are very wise, they would support Soludo’s good visions for Anambra which will then make the party acceptable in every nook and cranny of Nigeria...seeing Anambra as a model state. Everything shouldn’t be about money and sharing/eating money. APGAs life line is on Soludo. If they give Soludo every necessary support and make Anambra a Dubai ,Nigerians as a whole would want to give them the chance at the apex; trashing the belief that the party is only an ‘igbo party’. God bless Anambraaaa!!! 12 Likes |

Noticed few more things being done from the video: Installation of the lifts and escalators are almost done; looks like they've started partitioning upstairs (from 17secs) probably for shops; and i noticed massive LCD screens have been hung up (saw two...one at 5.45 and another bigger one downstairs at 5.49), probably for the flight status board or for information and adverts. But the best news is all the technical stuff the governor mentioned that makes the airport stand head and shoulders above its peers in the country. He talked of the lighting to be switched on soon, so i hope this means the airport can operate both night and day time flights. Full categorisation will come with the arrival of the firetrucks. Also, would be nice to have one or two international flights when full categorisation is attained....say to Europe, US or East Asia. I hope they have maximum security at the airport with irregular patrols around the airport perimeter fencing, as there's a lot of expensive and sensitive equipment out in the open. There's a lot of jealousy in this country, so they need to secure the airport very well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mxv37ckXMTg 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Just watched a news report on the tanker fire at Upper Iweka yesterday, and some of the victims and traders who were interviewed were lamenting on the poor condition of the road, saying its responsible for many previous accidents in the area! Thankfully no life was lost! Fixing up that Upper Iweka (road, sanitation and aesthetics) should be one of the top priorities of the incoming Soludo administration! 5 Likes |
