Osilama1:I thought u have the idea of the Undergraduate programmes. Now, let me explain. You don't have physical classes but u have online facilitation for some courses. You have all the materials, u study them and prepare for the exams. Your continuous assessment is what they call TMA (Tutor-Marked Assignment). It's 30 marks and exams is 70 percent. All your exams are done at the Study Centre. GST707 is an e-exam compulsory for u. Your other exams will be POP (Pen-On-Paper). Pass mark for all your courses is minimum of 50 per cent. Anything less is carryover. Minimum graduating CGPA is 3.00. I hope this helps. 1 Like |

Please what is the best course to study at DE level for a ND graduate in Civil Engineering? I've been considering Criminology and Security study. How long does it take? What about ICT? |
Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Enskynelson(m): 7:01am On Jan 26, 2022 |
MaverickA3:You have to choose a related course and not just any course. Your ND Civil Engineering is not closely related to Criminology and Security Studies. |

Good morning my people. I join NOUN as a direct entry student & I registered all courses am supposed to register from 200 level n passed. But d school is refusing me graduate that my Total credit units is less than the minimum required by 4 units. Now i am been asked to take 2 courses from 100 level to meet up. Plz why is NOUN like this? Why should I register for a semester just for 2 courses in 100 level that I am not supposed to be part of as a DE student? I am a law student & i have gone to the faculty at Jabi, Abuja to complain without any hope |

MaverickA3:It's now Environmental Resource Mgt and Toxicology, a 5-year course. If u entered via DE, u will spend 4years. |

Eazeee:Did u do all your Electives? That's what the electives are meant for. Secondly, did u do GST107, 105, 104, 103, 101, and 102 and your credit units is still less? Because those GSTs especially 101, 105, 103 and 107 are compulsory even if u entered via DE. 2 Likes |

Hello everyone, please I need your assistance. I tried registering for new student. I entered my details, generated the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code. I was redirected to the remita site for payment where I'll input my atm details (card number, pin, etc). I had it in mind to pay via bank branch, but there is no option for payment via bank branch, instead what I saw was only the remita page where I need to input my ATM details. I Am confused because I wanted to pay via bank branch but what I see on the NOUN webpage as an option is payment by remita (to input my ATM details). Can I use the RRR code and pay into a bank branch? Or Put money in my account and pay directly via remita? cc: Samisha500; Anthonyo15; Enskynelson |

LATEST UPDATE!!! As a fall out of the 2021 NUC accreditation exercise, it was recommended that the Department introduce some new courses for the BSc Computer Science programme. As part of our preparation for the forthcoming accreditation for the BSc programme, these newly introduced courses are to be taken by students at those levels except for those yet to pass the compulsory courses. Students in final year are not expected to go back to 100 level and pass these newly introduced courses before their graduation, If they have passed their core courses or their equivalent For students who failed the course(s) that are no longer among the newly released registrable courses, the Department will communicate you and your students through the study centres on the mapping of the courses to be taken in place of those replaced courses. Thank you HOD, Computer Science |
