To drive in Lagos u have to be street smart and never loose guard there hungry dogs (Lastma,VIO, police) everywhere looking for anyone to pounce on but me i dey do them shege.
Last year on freedom way lekki, to burst out on Lekki Epe expressway i was stranded in that traffic for over 30mins slow movt. Meanwhile i had a terrible headache, temperature/fever (actually i found out it was corona virus) i couldn't bear it anymore so i decided to take the short one way, turn left into the estate and avoid the traffic cos i was seriously sick. As soon as i took the one way and entered that junction on the left, omo na so i see police and Lastma with their Hilux van coming from front, one don dey video me. Instantly sicknesses clear for my eye!!!! Omo na that day i do James Bond. U need to see how i throw gear for reverse straight turn back, as i was turning back the Hilux almost entered my front but i didn't give him that chance instead i jam their bumper danu and that how i entered the road and sped off. Although my bumper damage i prefer to go fix am than to face those guys that day. I thought they were gonna chase me but that was it. I escaped by whiskers cos that stunt i pulled there was a dangerous one and could have gone south. Since this day i made up my mind i will never drive one way no matter what.

Second time this year,i was coming from 3rd mainland going to yaba. I was in front of SCID panti, traffic light stop us, next thing VIO from the side came to meet me in the middle of the road and asked me to show him my Vehicle License i said what? He said vehicle license. Meanwhile the other one was on the other side trying to open door but i don lock am and wind up. I just pretended as if i wanted to reach for my license as i raise head i see say light don green one of them wanted to stand in my front na god save am thats how i zoomed off.

Never wind down fully, lock your doors, dont let anyone into your car, dont give anybody your car keys or let anyone take your car keys or docs from u address them by winding down a little ( photocopy all your vehicle docs) know your rights and stand by it. If possible do video especially when u know u are on your right and MOST OF ALL DONT DRIVE ONE WAY!!!

Stay sharp on the streets of Lagos, u snooze u lose!!

Am very sure, you can't afford a car. That's why you are sounding like this undecided, Our roads? Do you even pay task . We are talking about illegal extortion here you are typing like you can't comprehend

Mumu it's tax not task. And yes, I have a car and I pay my tax regularly.

Now piss off!

Lagos state government is always frustrating legitimate business owners with various extortions as levies and tax.Even with all this multiple extortions as taxes the state is still the highest debtor. All the money goes to the bullion vans owner in bourdillon.

The same lagosians will tell u oga bullion van is doing very well.. infact he is the best candidate for president.... we don't know the colour of our problems.....

I paid N50k to task force from lastma oshodi. One way offence at 6,.20am off adejumo tennis club road please uli entered the street legally... Extortion everywhere. The one way offence was primarily targeted to those on the high way, not for streets in residential areas. Massive extortion is now the name of the game
U are one of those causing traffic, why not follow normal road in front of Oluomo's mosque.
Looking for mercy after commiting offence.
U may not be aware there is a LASTMA subunit along that street

. There are no proper signage in this country. The task force or law enforcement agencies are just taking undue advantage of the less privileged Nigerians. If it is an elite, they are the once that will clear the road for them to drive against the traffic. At the popular Rumokoro roundabout, the police once allowed a taxi driver to make a u-rurn with out using the roundabout as a result of heavy traffic. Immediately I followed him, the same police came to halt me. I told him that he should just allow me to follow the taxi man to avoid creating a scene. The thing is, don't wind down your glasses and zoom off if the road is clear. Most of them will always extort.

I learnt this the hard way, there is this one way road somewhere close to my area. Motorists always fall into their trap because there is no one way signage before the entry. If you engage them they will take you to where the signage is which is hidden far inside the street and they know there is absolutely no way you will see it.

I was almost caught yesterday for one way offence but I reversed back quickly to my Estate but they captured my plate number. I just pray they will not use it to look for me today. Those people are not nice at all.
