[quote author=omopapa Good day comrade. Please I sincerely need your candid advice. I am a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist. I intend going for further studies in the UK. I got admission to study MSc Biomedical Science in Nottingham Trent Uni. Also, got another MSc to study Medical Bioscience in Glasgow Caledonian Uni. I'm still awaiting decision for offer in Molecular Microbiology from Sheffield Hallam Uni and Biomedical Science in Hull. Here in Nigeria, I work as a Molecular Scientist. Which of these offers should I pursue? One, as one who has already gotten HCPC. Two a Molecular Scientist Three, a "Nigerian" who would sure need to survive. I just want to top up my learning with a MSc as I graduated since 2013. I'm not keen about doing routine lab practices in Haem, biochemistry, micro etc @omopapa and others, kindly assist. |

justwise: This was the attached steps towards it For the lady in question she can try to change a smaller amount of money to see if it works and then if it works then she can do the rest. I was also skeptical about it too when I arrived and I did the same thing too by changing small amount of money to confirm if they were genuine before parting with a larger sum when they were genuine to me. 1 Like

omopapa: Baba which license would you advice. Do I go for manual or automatic? I just passed the theory test and I wanna start taking driving lessons. Back in naija I started driving with manual, but in the last 8 years all my cars have been automatic. I have no issues driving anyone but I just need suggestions. |

Chreze: All about demographics and perception. The challenger banks are more popular with the younger/savvy generation, while the elderly generation, the ones who like to write long letters and carry passbooks and so forth, have no interest in banking by app without a branch manager to go and rake at from time to time. However, the challenger banks don't offer credit facilities (they may start to do so at some point, Starling Bank just bought up a mortgage provider and Chase says it has plans to offer full banking services), so it does make sense to open accounts with one or more established banks with an eye to the future. For the rest, they're all the same, your money is as safe in Monzo as it is in Barclays, all banks have the same 85k deposit insurance guarantee, and with the rate at which the high street banks are closing branches these days, they might end up as digital as Starling or Monzo one day. 1 Like |

Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by TheGuyFromHR: 11:59am On Jan 29, 2022 |
DeeOneBangin: Manual. With a manual license you can drive both auto and manual, while with an auto license you are limited to just autos, even though as EVs come on stream that's not as limiting as it once was. Regarding work purposes, fleet cars usually tend to be manuals. 1 Like |
