Getting employed on low-key is not the problem, but getting captured on IPPIS is. How else are you supposed to get paid without capturing?

You just said my mind, it is really sad especially federal universities, they really need Assistant lecturers and Graduate assistants to help with departmental work load...but no they will not employ because of the embargo

IPPIS issue exposed some monumental corruption going on there, so during that time there was a big rush to hire hundreds of staffs in some of these universities across the country in order to cover that, The embargo is there to check mate them

I know someone who has been expecting APL from a federal university since last December, though through a connect. The university people keep telling "the connect" that his boy will be called "soon". My guess is that they are waiting for the embargo on IPPIS to be lifted first.
My question though: Are those ones not captured still going to work everyday? If no, then when they are eventually captured, will they still be paid the backlog salaries from the date of posting?

Just hope for the best, I was told by my friend working there that she is loved by the staff because their benefits are flowing smoothly and she even made arrangements for their salary and allowances upgrade to be higher than NIMASA. And the process stopped because she is not in office, they are waiting and praying for her reinstainment

I am equally facing similar situation, though mine is a Federal Polytechnic. I have been getting assurance that we would be called but nothing till date. And the school carried out a massive staff promotion late last year. This IPPIS is messing up a lot of things

There are some persons who were shortlisted but won't show up for the documentation probably because they got a better job, travelled abroad already or for some personal reasons decide not to take d job offer. At the end of the documentation there will be a supplementary list kind of to make up for the vacanct positions of those who were shortlisted but didn't show up for documentation. That's d mop up he's telling u about. Mind u that list is highly competitive so if u are required to make any advance payment be extremely sure of ur connect. A pay after apl/documentation/ippis deal is a safer option if u ain't too sure of ur Connect's level.

Worse still is that enough efforts aren't being made for the embargo to be lifted. Those affected (new and aspiring staff like ourselves) don't have the power to do anything. Those with the power (Professors, ASUU, etc) are not even interested in IPPIS in the first place.
We are all left at the non-existent mercy of this government.

I will go straight to the point here.
I am well above 30 years (35 precisely). I have a friend in who works in a federal agency that has promised to help me. He asked for a certain amount though.
My credentials (waec O level and birth cert) all shows my age but he's saying that's not in any way a problem.
I need the advice of those who are in any of the federal ministries.
I have a B.sc and M.sc.
Kindly help a brother with sincere and genuine advice.
