Good evening, from my research I discovered this two institutions for winter intake. Thompson Rivers University (Master in Environmental Economics and Management). Carleton University (Master of Arts: Economics). With 3.6 CGPA in Economics, is there chances of gaining admission? N:B- University of Manitoba admission wasn’t successful and according to them, it was because of competition. Please I’d appreciate your feedback. Thanks 1 Like |

Dear NL family I intend to apply in April but i have fixed deposit of 3m that I rollover every 180days. It will be rollover again around March. Can I attach the fixed deposit certificate as part of my proof of funds. Already I have above 10m and $10k in account. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by EhischemNg: 7:58pm On Jan 29, 2022 |
fogechi: Yes attach the fixed deposit document But the Visa officer will be more concerned of how the money came about... Accumulate and attach documents for funds you can sufficiently prove |

Nope. After being issued PFL he didn’t meet up with 15days given. Firstly, he didn’t know on time he has been issued the letter and later missed the days due to the documents he was gathering to submit. Now his portal is replacement overdue. Malone122: |

Yes you can attach the certificate of fixed deposit. Get a letter from your bank to confirm the fixed deposit and the amount you have in there. That was what I did and I got my visa fogechi: |

Teemie22: Check out Western University. You can still apply if you have all the necessary things ready ASAP, Fall admission will be closing February 1 |

Pay the acceptance fees. There is a letter that CIC sends to your portal, along with your stamped visa page. That should suffice. Holarjoseph: 1 Like |

makano:NSCC don't give refund for anything. Even if an applicant defers his admission, tuition deposit is still not transferable to the new intake. Applicant needs to pay another tuition deposit for deferment. 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Bankowner: 10:21pm On Jan 29, 2022 |
If you're buying PTA from your bank, you must have your passport with affixed visa and your return ticket. The bank can however take a one way ticket if you submit your letter of acceptance or admission from your intended school. However, it is cheaper buying a return ticket. One way tickets are expensive. Imalaeta: 3 Likes |

Divinedxtrovert: Most diploma graduates gets job quickly, but an undergraduate degree is better in the long run. You may be able to transfer your diploma result to an undergraduate program. To reduce expenses and quickly get a job, a diploma might be best option in the short term. You can go back for degree after you have some experience, save money, and probably become a PR. 1 Like |

Is there possibly of a 19years old who is going for a 2years diploma program to get PR after completion of the program or such individual must acquire most degree say minimum of B.Sc to stay back in Canada access PR? Osemigho: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Teemenzo: 5:42am On Jan 30, 2022 |
Perfectyyyyyy: PR application is best for someone around 24 to 35 as the person could attain the highest score. That you studied any type of course and have any type of degree does not guarantee PR. Diploma has no chance at all as its course is low. Search google for CRS calculator and do an eligibility test. You will understand better 1 Like |

Teemenzo:I don't know where you got this wrong information from. Getting PR from TRV while inside Canada has little or nothing to do with age. 4 Likes |

PatrickOkunima: My advice to you as i have adviced the other person is to go and do your eligibility test. I don't know who is feeding you with wrong information. I have been on this since 2016 and Age is a very huge factor wherever you are. Do your own research. 1 Like |
