The ideal practice is to never let anyone take your baby from your hospital room for whatever reason. You can clean the baby in the mother's room! Anything that needs to be done can be taken care of in the mother's room or in the presence of another family member. Or better still, let everyone (mother and child) wear a barcode around their wrist that identifies them. 115 Likes 7 Shares |

This kind thing dey cause DNA wahala later on. But that doesn’t change the fact that Nigeria is second in Paternity fraud after Jamaica. This happened in Jamaica tho. E fit be lie, don't believe everything you read on social media, especially twitter. Most influenca on twitter tell sensational lies to generate traffic, just like Pastors telling unbelievable testimonies to arouse fear among their congregations. 11 Likes 1 Share |

I'm sure it's a lie. A lot of people post false stories on Twitter for engagement calling it "content". Only people who're not familiar with how Labour rooms look like would believe this nonsense. First of all, how many women will give birth at exactly the same time in the Labour ward? I've worked in extremely busy labour wards where more than 10 women are very close to giving birth but it's still rare that two babies would come out at the same minute. Now let's even assume that happens, is it the same midwife/assistant or doctor/assistant pair that would take the two deliveries at the same time? Now let's even assume the same person cleans or resuscitates (if necessary) the two babies. The person would likely take the APGAR + weight of one and document first before doing for the second. Immediately after that they'll have to give the mother to keep the baby skin to skin/belly to belly and attempt to breastfeed. So the baby won't be away for more than a few minutes. Now, all these activities happen in the same labour room, in a designated area usually in the line of sight of the mothers in standard labour rooms. This narrative needs to be killed abeg. Nobody dey switch babies. Healthcare workers as a rule try to be very careful to avoid anything that has legal consequences. NB: For DNA tests, if a baby is switched, it won't have any of the mother or father's DNA. If it has the mother's DNA but not that of the father, then someone lied. 68 Likes 10 Shares |

This is why a Compulsory DNA test after Test is very important. I know PROSTITUTES will use this as an Avenue to deny or downplay the Issue of Paternity Fraud. Still,it doesn't change the fact that Cases of Paternity fraud have and will continue to happen until DNA test after Birth is made Mandatory. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Treasure17: YinkaOlusesi: odinson1: All of you are wrong. The many likes that your posts got show that a lot of women and men are ignorant of DNA. The DNA test will show that both the mother and father are not the owner of the child if the child was swapped. Hence, both parties will know that the child is not for both the father and the mother and there is definitely a mistake. Therefore, DNA must be done to catch all adulterous women and to identify if a child has not been mistakenly swapped. So there is no excuse for all adulterous woman. DNA must be done . They are are already happy and looking for excuse for not doing DNA. Better stay chaste and only have seex with your husband. If you are tired of the marriage, divorce him, and marry another man to make yourself happy. This is better than cheating on your husband. 13 Likes 1 Share |

YinkaOlusesi: If they switched babies, the baby won't have the DNA of any parent If it has the DNA of only the mother, then the father is not the father. There is no confusion there. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Imagine if it was in the olden days where scan was not in existence. Birthing a boy and going home with a girl should be categorized as a Class-A disaster. I'm glad the family are not just learned, but swift at claiming their baby. Such mistake is too expensive and could lead to divorce or family squabble if DNA was to be carried out by the couple. 1 Like |
