Heyy guys

I’m having an issue with statement of account
My dad was unable to build his account for me due to some expenses he had to incur

Can anyone advice me on what I can do
If there’s any alternative
And I might need to put in my application by March cos the school said I need to be in Winnipeg before mid August

Hello people, pls I need guidance on a situation I am in.
1. My school admission is for May 2022. My passport expires in August. I applied for passport renewal but I could get a date for capture for the last week in February. Can I apply for the study visa with my passport that would expire in six months.

2. I have to travel for work on the day I have my medical appointment at IOM. Is there a way to reschedule to about 2 days later. I’d really appreciate your input. Thank you.

Good evening everyone. I submitted my application to Conestoga College since November, 2020 for September , 2022 intake. I appled for Career Development Professional (0869) - No Decision and Management in Community Services (1276) - Waitlisted since November. I have received correction mails twice stating that i should upload a letter of intent, i did the first time and just got the second mail tonight saying "re-upload letter of intent (error code : unable to open uploaded copy)". I'd appreciate help please, i last uploaded in PDF format just like other documents.

Also can anyone put me through writing the LOI, I only wrote to suit the course waitlisted. Thank you

Please I need help guys.
I got admission to Fanshawe College for one year PGC in Business Analytics, May 2022 and I have paid the tuition deposit.
I applied for study visa 29th Nov 2021 but got a rejection mail today based on financial status and personal assets.
I don't understand why the rejection because I submitted a personal statement, sukuku bond certificate and I attached my payslip.
I terminated my Mutual funds in Oct 2021 to make up the total funds in my personal account but I didn't state this in my SOP because I felt it will be visible in the account statement where the lump sum came from. However, in December, I decided to send LOE for the N5m lump sum and also attached the statement of my Mutual funds account. This I sent via Web form and emails, not sure they got this because my profile was not updated nor did I receive any email on it.
Upfront medical submitted last Friday.
I'm confused on how to proceed. I want to order for my GCMS note, how long will this take if my Sis in Canada helps?
Should I go ahead and make the balance payment of my tuition?
Can I reapply without GCMS note using the new portal?
I moved funds from my account back to mutual funds to earn some interest while waiting for the visa outcome... Now I have to terminate again so I can reapply.
NB: I still have a valid Canadian vist visa.

I dont know if my situation would help you but I had a name in my passport that was not on my certificate. I had two middle names in my passport, which was infact a mistake. So Mary was included in my passport abut was not on my certificate. This however did not pose any problems for me when I applied for my UK US and Canada visas. Although when I was applying for my Canada visa I just went to sign an affidavit saying I bear both names.
Nonswa:
Please I have a question, what is the fate of someone whose name in his degree cert, wassce result included does not have the FIRST NAME. but his international passport and NIN has the first name.
For example. Full names are Obi Chike John
Sch cert has the name: Obi John
While passport & NIN has: Obi Chike John
Will this be an issue during the whole process of applying?

Good evening House,

Please i want to submit an updated investment certificate as the ones i attached matured yesterday using the webform. Unfortunately, I am stucked here as i don't know if it is to pick No because YES is requesting for the exact Visa processing office;

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by KikkyQ: 9:20pm On Jan 31, 2022
Perhaps you can list the payment options your school gave you, maybe then we would be able to help and help you identify which one is Form A. Also, you are applying for a study permit. Study visa is what you are given when the permit is approved i.e the visa stamped on your passport. They are more or less the same thing and can be used interchangeably.

Good afternoon great minds.
I just joined the platform.
Please I need help.
I gained admission in Confederation College,Thunder Bay.Ontario Canada.
I’m currently gathering my school fees, before the deadline by God’s grace;I would pay the fees.
Please what’s the best way to pay my school fees?
The school listed some payment options, but I didn’t see Form A on the list.

Also am I applying for Study visa? Or study permit.
I checked the Canadian website,it seems I’m to apply for study permit.

Please help me,I’m at a crossroad.

Please do upfront medicals. It is one of the things that delay people if they don't do it on time. Yes you can pay later y making a transfer. That is what I did.

No you cannot go to the embassy to ask. Everything is done online. Watch youtube videos, read this thread and do your research. All you need is time and you would find out all.

How do I go about this please?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by angel4sure: 9:43pm On Jan 31, 2022
Thank you sir, I will look into it. Am very grateful for the responses so far. But I have a challenge with area of research, u know our Nigerian school system, we dnt do research and most times after school, we dnt tend to get a job in line with what we studied.

I have always wanted to work in an oil company so I can have an experience, but it never came even after series of applications and interviews. Also with respect to my final year project, it was not related to anything petroleum, but Solar, but I have always had interest in petroleum, that's why I want to do a masters in that area. Pls how do I go abt this when I dnt have research experience and also my final year project was not in petroleum.
Lekiboboe:

In addition to what Hon. Osemigho has said, work on your CV and make it an ACADEMIC CV Standard

Cos on your Academic CV,
- You have no Research Interests (focus) mentioned
- Your Research Experience as a degree holder was not detailed (final year project)
- Professional Summary is for a Résumé, not for an Academic Cv
- Address should be your town , state and Country e.g Ammasoma, Bayesla State, Nigeria
-High school information is not needed on an Academic Cv, your Degree is enough
- Your Technical skills in the field of petroleum geology wasn't mentioned. Softwares you make use of in your field wasn't mentioned
- References you need at least 3
and some other things you need to address to have a well packaged and detailed Academic CV.

Visit the link,(scroll down to see the attachment) there is a well detailed Academic CV by a Nigerian PostDoc fellow at UBC, Canada (Dr. OLUMUYIWAAYO), use the structure of his ACADEMIC CV to revamp yours, your Academic CV should be in PDF and let it be named in your name e.g SEMEDO POCOTUA VASQUEZ_CV

There are some beneficial info in this same link you can apply to your field of discipline and research interests (research focus)

Good afternoon house, long post alert!!!

My journey to getting SP started in August 2020 and has now ended in praise to the glory of God. I will be detailed in this post hoping that someone can learn from it, same way I learnt a lot from other people's post on this platform. To the gurus @frankrobbn, @justmellow and others, I hail oh...
See timeline below:

1st Application
- Submitted on Aug. 28th 2020
- Biometrics done on Sept. 2nd 2020
- Refused on Sept. 12th 2020
Resaon: Purpose of visit
In gcms note: VO stated the following:
1. Study gap (despite the fact that I'm studying an MBA with a specialization in Professional Sales and Business Development) and I have over 10yrs of work experience in the business field, out of which about 7yrs is in sales/business development till the time of the application.
2. Age which was 34 at the time
3. Fact that I got a US tourist visa in Jan. 2017, had a child in the US with the visa in Jan. 2018 and my visa renewal was refused in Oct. 2019. Na so dem write oh and no be sey I owe money oh, all relevant documents were provided and I visited the US in June 2017 before having the baby there in 2018 but as Trump no gree renew the visa in 2019, wetin we go do?

2nd Application
- Submitted on October 28th 2020 (This was before I received the gcms note because I was trying to meet up with January 2021 start date but thankfully, the issues raised were already addressed with proper documentation because I had joined this platform by then. Thanks to all the gurus). The only document I didn't add was "Change of Intent" email that I sent to the US Embassy in Nigeria after I decided to use my tourist Visa for child birth.
- Upfront medical passed on Nov. 20th 2020
- NSE request letter received on Dec. 1st 2020
- NSE requests submitted on Dec. 13th 2020 (used this opportunity to include the left out document and carefully explained it in the brief LOE submitted with the request.
- Refusal letter came on January 24th 2021
Reasons: purpose of visit, ties to Canada, financial status/assets, language test.
Gcms note stated the following:
1. Application pre-review comments stated that I had a child in the US and my visa was not renewed afterwards, hence, my intent to study was in doubt. I was livid seeing this because an application had just been wrongly judged even before going through the facts and documents provided.
2. The VO's comment was practically thesame as the pre-review comment so it became clear to me that the refusals were purely based on bias because of the child birth in the US and the visa renewal refusal - see wetin Trump cause.

By this time, I knew it would take more than a re-application to tackle and clear the bias. I needed to do more so I decided to do a JR.

- JR commenced in March 2021
- My lawyer had 30days to file all documents
- All documents submitted by April 2021
- IRCC correspondence had 30days to respond
- Response letter received in May 2020 and stated that they will not do any filling but they retained the right to file if the Judge decides to hear the case. (Sounded like they were trying to buy time but I didn't find it funny at all).
It was a long wait before the Federal court judge responded

- Sept. 15th 2021 - Judge responded that based on documents provided in the application, he can't understand why the application was refused and scheduled a hearing for Dec. 8th 2021.
- IRCC correspondence conceded upon receiving the judge's response, requested to settle out of court.
- They decided to set aside the refusal decision, reopen my application and have another VO review it. I'll also be allowed to submit updated IMM forms, LOA and any other documents I deemed fit to support my application.
- At this point, my lawyer advised that I should pay a substantial part if my school fees if not all and I did that.
- Also, I had renewed my UK visa for 2years while in JR process cos I was planning a vacation and I included this to show that I do not have any immigration issues. Also added (as argued by my lawyer in her submission) that the US refusal was based on the then US government's ban on African countries including Nigeria and not because I did anything wrong.
- This time, I didn't submit an LOE to explain my conditions but a statutory declaration with bullet point to address every concern/explain every point and it was notarized and sealed by the Canadian lawyer.

Application reopening timeline:
- Profile update on Sept. 30th 2021
- Request for updated documents on Nov. 3rd 2021
- Documents submitted on Dec. 1st 2021
- Medical request received on Dec. 8th 2021 (exactly 1 week from the date of submission)
- Medicals done on Dec. 20th 2021
- Medicals passed on Dec. 29th 2021
- PPR received on Jan. 12th 2022
- Passport sent through DHL to VFS Lagos on Jan. 20th 2022 (I was out of the country when I got the PPR, submitted as soon as I returned)
- Received 4 emails on Jan 24th 2022 confirming receipt of my documents in VFS Abuja office and confirming it's been sent to IRCC office
- Conterfoil and LOI dropped on Jan. 26th 2022
- Also received 4 emails confirming that my decision envelope is ready for collection on same 26th
- Received a mail confirming that my decision envelope has been received by VFS Lagos on Jan. 28th 2022
- DHL delivered my passport in the morning, today Jan. 31st 2022.

N.B: Compare the responses on Jan. 24th 2021 and Jan. 24th 2022. In exactly 1 year, I was smiling about something that got me worried and angry. Stay with God regardless of your current situation, He is too faithful to fail and He loves us too much to ignore.

All thanks to God, it has ended in praise...

I wish all PPR hopefuls all the very best and reasons to smile as God fulfills your heart desires this week and beyond.

I key into this testimony while I wait for my PPR. This JR is not for the weak

If your sis is a candian PR, let her apply for your GCMS note. Stop moving money up and down. Just explain how you accumulate it and submit all the necessary documents. I can confirm to you that they accept mutual funds and fixed deposit because a recent applicant submitted those and got PPR. Can your funds all cover your tuition and living expenses considering your family situation? There are funds implication if you married, married with kids, or single. All the best.

After you figure out what your potential supervisors are doing, you play with words to tailor your email. For instance, petroleum and solar falls under energy. You can use energy or solar energy when reaching out to petroleum profs. You can also focus on your area of interest rather than past research. Sorry if you answered these questions before but let me ask to make sure you are on the right path.

1. Are you going for a masters or PhD?

2. What is your highest degree and GPA?

3. When did you graduate from your last program? What have you been doing since then?

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by LordMenasseh: 11:24pm On Jan 31, 2022
"Form A" is the name of the form(s) most banks use to do foreign transactions and payments over here. The school instructs you on what foreign account to pay the money into (payment advice/order/instruction) and you use that exact information to fill all the necessary forms and then the bank processes it.

Study permit is the same thing as student visa.
The visa is your "permission" to go to Canada as a student for the specific purpose of studying there.
