makano: Some good News
Because of the backlogs in processing Visa applications caused by the pandemic, the Canadian government is putting down big money to make the following applications processed even more quicker..
-Visiting Visa -Study Visa -Permanent residence Visa
They hope this budget would make things get back to normal this year.
With this, we should be getting quick response to study permit applications..
Let's hope for the best on this thread. It shall surely end in praise..

Hello badalta How many times have you been refused that you are tired of Canada bro.. Personally, I have seen an applicant on this thread getting his PPR after the 7th attempt in part 13 or so, is yours as bad as that? Common pick yourself up, order for GCMS notes and see the refusal concerns of the Visa Officers and address these concerns in your re-application and see yourself getting your Visa.. Remember, its not he that fails that is defeated, but he that doesn't try again after failing .. So wake up and get that Visa.. Peace badalta: Application submitted June 1 2021 Application refused January 31 2022 I am tired of Canada wahala 7 Likes |

Thank you sir for your response. Yes am going for Masters My highest degree is Bsc , CGPA 3.84 I graduated in 2011. And since then I have being from one job to another, Osemigho:
After you figure out what your potential supervisors are doing, you play with words to tailor your email. For instance, petroleum and solar falls under energy. You can use energy or solar energy when reaching out to petroleum profs. You can also focus on your area of interest rather than past research. Sorry if you answered these questions before but let me ask to make sure you are on the right path.
1. Are you going for a masters or PhD?
2. What is your highest degree and GPA?
3. When did you graduate from your last program? What have you been doing since then? |

Thanks, I will do that. Legacyedition:
With this your way of moving funds.
What is in your gcms note is lumpsum deposit.
At this moment, to stand a better chance early.
Pay your one year tuition fee.
Do GIC if you can .
Visa officer won't have any concern about your funds again after you've done this.

MotunrayoD: Hello people, pls I need guidance on a situation I am in. 1. My school admission is for May 2022. My passport expires in August. I applied for passport renewal but I could get a date for capture for the last week in February. Can I apply for the study visa with my passport that would expire in six months.
2. I have to travel for work on the day I have my medical appointment at IOM. Is there a way to reschedule to about 2 days later. I’d really appreciate your input. Thank you. Please can anyone help me with this. Thank you as you do. |

Long post brace yourself!
Departure: January 26 Airline:KLM
Flight was scheduled for 10:45pm but I got to the airport by 6pm and I'm glad i did, Father Lord it's like a massive crusade was going on at the airport.
I had about 8 eight people with me, man never traveled before in the end only my mum and dad could get in and that's because I know someone.
So I was directed to the customs guys first, the people there were already tired, they just asked me if it's my first time travelling and purpose of travel, they opened my bag and just scanned through and said I should 'bless' the guys I dropped '5H' and move.
Next the person i knew led me to a shorter queue and made me understand that the line is for business class, I had economy. She told me not to talk about my ticket and went to work. Almost after she left someone started checking people's tickets and sent like 3 people away from the queue (at this point I was just calculating ehn) finally he came to me and said "what's your class of ticket" and I said "good evening" he asked the question again and for whatever reason I confidently said "KLM" then he asked that I show him my ticket i bought out my phone and took my time trying to locate my ticket then he left.
Immediately he left, the person that brought me to the queue came back and i told her so she went and talked to the guy. The next challenge was my baggage i wanted just 1 bag as i don't like carrying load and made the mistake of not weighing it at home (please try to do this it will save you stress) it was weighed as 44kg instead of 23kg so i had to split into 2 at the airport.
I was cleared and my documents were checked and was given my boarding pass then i went to say my final goodbyes to others that couldn't come in then proceeded to board. My backpack was checked then I boarded.
We landed at Amsterdam at 5:55am, and had to wait for 5 hours for the connecting flights. My documents were checked again and I boarded.
We arrived Toronto at 3:45pm local time, went to the self declaration machine and answered some questions the receipt was printed I went to join another queue, the lady there asked for my course duration and if i know someone in Toronto and then made some markings on the receipt then told me to join another line.
I waited for my turn and the man on the counter asked for my documents, he asked why I arrived late (resumption was January 10) and I told him that there's an option to attend classes online and I've been having online classes. He asked for my course duration and said he will give me 3months extra and that im welcome to apply for an extension if need be and then he issued my study permit.
Next i went to get my luggages it was so easy and went for the covid test make sure you register online. I was done in 15mins and left. All along I was thinking "the cold sef no reach I'm gonna bouce it off" but my people immediately I came out of the airport My spirit and soul literally left me and ran back into the airport ooo but came back sha and we moved.
Advice: if you are coming in winter get plenty winter wears o, the clothes for Nigeria's weather are useless.
Documents: POE Letter Acceptance letter Confirmation of Enrollment ArriveCan receipt Quarantine plan Travel Authorization letter Passport ofcourse COVID card PCR test result Tuition fees receipt
I also printed my Statement of account just in case but I didn't use it at all.
Once again thank you to the gurus and everyone on this thread. I wish us all great successes in all our endeavors. Amen. 2 Likes |

Yes am going for Masters My highest degree is Bsc , CGPA 3.84 I graduated in 2011. And since then I have being from one job to another, Your CGPA is low, but can you calculate your last two years of study? If your last two years Is lower than 4/5, you may want to apply to mid to low rank schools for masters or PGD. If you have your CGPA in the CV you are sending to professors, please remove it or just write it as 3.84. Please don't write 2.1 and stuff on it. You should a PGD that is relevant to your experience as back up if you can pay for it. All the best. |

Thanks alot. I have ordered for my GCMS note and while waiting, I will leave the money in the mutual funds and pay the tuition balance. I still have some money left in my savings account to cover the tuition balance with some funds left. The company I work with is a global one and well known. The mutual funds, Sukuk bond will serve as assets as I don't have land/house. The statement for the mutual funds will show the funds history as it was a gradual investment that accumulated from 2019. I will also explain this in the LOE. The fund movement was done in October cos I thought Mutual fund statement will not be accepted so I wanted to show fund availability by terminating the investment into my savings account. Just to add, I am married without kids but my husband is not coming with me. I pray the GCMS note comes quick cos school resumes May 4th. Ketima:
Hello SallyK,
So sorry for your refusal. is just a temporary delay. Now as we all know, you need to get your note to know what actually is the VO concern(s) as the reason in the refusal letter is generic.
Now one thing about having huge funds in the account and paying just a deposit is that it will make the VO question the genuineness of the applicants to study or is the fund just for demonstration purposes? Showing you earn 560k monthly, do you have other assets other than the 12million in the account to show that you're well established in your home country? Again, hope your company is a known establishment that will make the VO easily believe such monthly income and not from one SallyK and sons limited? So, you need to tighten all loose ends.
A Vo will believe that an applicant with 2million in account and paid one-year tuition and has assets in form of lands, shares, other properties is more established and will likely return back home than you who have all the millions but not established. which can easily tell him/her you don't plan to be established in your home country.
So my opinion is
1). Pay the entire one-year tuition to show that the money is yours and is meant for studies ( as the money is just floating back and forth between your account and mutual funds). 2). Show some assets in your name, not just huge money ( in this immigration process, cash in account isn't really an ASSET per se but Assets is cash in the making). This will go a long way to show you're well established and have what will likely bring you back home.
Again, as the funds keep moving between mutual funds and your account, I would like you to trace it back to the origin of the money movement from your account to a mutual fund and diligently explain it in your LOE to prove that the money is truly yours and also explain why you like keeping it in mutual funds. Why I said this is, people can borrow funds from people who do not like their money to be idle. So as not to keep their money idle, they send it to mutual funds so that it will be growing. Now once the visa application is approved, the fund is reversed and sent back to the owner.
So while you wait for your note, be your VO and begin now to draft your LOE and start also to get documents you may need to tackle the concerns. But then, if the note comes out and you feel the refusal reason isn't justifiable, you may seek JR if you can afford it.
All the best.
