Crazy story. May God comfort his family. I still don't know what our people are looking for in the likes of Ukraine and Cyprus.... just not worth the stress IMO.

Congratulations @5gee e reach to declare for the room... smiley

hypothermia is a major killer, there is nothing not to believe I am afraid. Do not joke with the cold in Ukraine and Russia.

He uploaded pictures of disgusting accommodation he was given and told his mother that he has complained to the school administration but was told to come back the next day , he was found dead in the same room wearing the same clothing he arrived Ukraine with. Really sad story.

Is there a contact number for the High commission?
I applied since October, when there were no appointing options and I yet to get an appointment email. Someone applied last week and said there is now an option to pick appointment dates and the person already attended biometric today. It was not fast track either.
Update on this. I emailed support@innovate1services.com and they sent this link https://appointments.immigration.gov.ng/. I now have a Feb appointment. You might want to try this link if you have paid and waiting to be contacted. You might have to email them directly if the link doesn’t work for you.

Had my driving test today (first time), and I failed. Feeling really bad right now. The sun decided to come out today of all days, and the reflection on the wet grounds made me lose track of my lane while crossing the roundabout, thus causing brief obstruction for the car behind. That momentary lapse in concentration cost me the test. I'm sure my instructor must think I'm dumb cos she knows I'm very familiar with the roundabout. Had other 3 minors, manoeuvres and parking were good. Feeling sad cry cry cry . End of rants. Anyone mind sharing their driving test experience and maybe any tip to pass the next one.

Thank you Mamatukwas and Marylandcakes for the encouragement. I took the test again today and passed. smiley smiley smiley

Who’s up for some arguments

Mass of information out there claiming that once you get a provisional, you can’t drive anymore on your international license even if you haven’t spent up to 12 months.

Okay, 300 for food is decent for a family of 3; thought he meant excluding rent and childcare only

Your best bet is the market is Birmingham - next to the Bull Ring. Go around 6am and you can buy everything in bulk. I used to go once a month and stock up my freezer

You can still drive with your provisional license supervised by a full license holder, however if you get pulled over for an offence, the points will go on your provisional license in advance Cus points can’t be added on to the international one.

Mind you, your 1st 2yrs as a full license holder you are still on probation and shldnt have more than 6 points else they will revoke the license. Now if u carry over any points from provisional over to full license you will be driving on egg shell

Lovely and informative write up.

But that post is to correct the notion that once you have provisional, you can’t drive on your international license anymore.
