Very competitive
Everyone had the same opportunity
Obasanjo defeated Ekwueme convincingly in PDP
Tell that to the dogs

Okay after the primaries Igbos gave Obasanjo votes massively than even south west States

What's hard now to return the favour

If not for anything but for equity sake

If the "eminently qualified Presidential materials" from the South East can't even make the South East the envy of the rest of the nation in terms of development, how do you think they will turn Nigeria around?

All indices of human development in Nigeria point to the SE as the zone with the highest.

Perhaps, you see the standard gauge rail lines in the SW and north as efforts of the SW and northern leaders.

How many modern airports, for example, have been built by state governors in the east? It's the highest number compared with any other zone in Nigeria, if at all you understand the cost of building an airport and its importance.

I am not talking about Urhobos
I asked about the hatred the Ibos have for others like that demonstrated on the thread;

l

Maybe the Fulani hate for the Ibos is just reciprocal
the article doesn’t in anyways justify and explain hate.moreover,Jonathan regime is largely inclusive from all tribes across the zones.

But you must have voted PMB to become president.

Obi has never been a tribal bigot. He has not held office at the federal level. Find another silly excuse.
The last time I voted was 2007, so say something else. Peter Obi is a despicable and hypocritical tribal bigot. The scumbag turned the Fashola Anambra "destitute" saga into a Yoruba vs Igbo affair. He also called ACN "Yoruba party" as a campaign strategy against Chris Ngige. He will never the President of this country.

It is common knowledge amongst most Igbos that an Igbo man will never be allowed to be President, theres nothing hidden about it.
igbos has never participated in politics like now. Don't say never. Just like it was never written that someone like Jonathan will come from the south to rule before.

First you did what you did in your own interest.

It was not a "Favour" You acted in your own best interest

So eschew that mentality and language that you did anyone a favour

Second Go and convince APC and PDP to give Eboes their tickets then your comparison would have a semblance of rationality

Let us wait till AFTER THE PRIMARES for a scenario like the one you are describing

ANOTHER WAY TO TELL PETER OBI THAT HE HAS NOT MOVED DEEP INTO THE SOUTH WEST.

He is too PRO-IGBO in his character and attitude.

Many Igbo politicians find it hard to win political friends in the south west.

The way you guys turn logic on it’s head should be studied. You support the worst in your area but vent when another side does same? Are the arewa politicians not pro Hausa/Fulani? Are the yorubas not pro oduduwa? Why do you like setting lofty standards for others that even you don’t even follow?

Was the ACN not a Yoruba party? You hate the truth.

Fashola started "deportation" of Nigerians from Lagos. It's illegal, so long as we are in one Nigeria. So if Obi condemned the deportation, what is tribalism about Obi with that? Find another excuse. You are playing local community politics.

Yes, we are scattered all over Nigeria milking your communities dry, use the proceeds to enhance human development of our people.
But you stay in your kingdom in Nigeria strategizing for apex political power of Nigeria to loot the proceeds from oil and gas deposits in the SS and SE regions, and your loots go to private bank accounts.

You guys will never stop to amuse.

Saying Obasanjo defeated Ekwueme “convincingly” without recognizing the role played by political stakeholders from every part of Nigeria who wanted to assuage the Southwest for 1993, is like saying Buhari defeated Atiku and Kwankwaso “convincingly” without recognizing the role played by Tinubu at the APC presidential convention in 2014.

Why do you guys keep selling lies?

Why then did Ekwueme contest?

Abi e for relinquish am if to say e win?

What a monumental clown! How did Fashola start the "deportation" of Nigerians when same clown Peter Obi had already "deported" about 29 Ebonyi and Akwa-people people to their respective states as far back as 2011? How can a hypocritical lying crook who had initially "deported" others to their states turn around to fan a Yoruba vs Igbo imbroglio when same was later done to his own Anambra "destitutes" in Lagos? That you even saw nothing wrong in a Peter Obi employing ethnic politics of calling ACN a "Yoruba Party" in order to defeat Ngige says much about you and your people's dumb and puerile politics, same way you brand APC a Fulani Party. But yet, Peter Obi will become President? Okay.

Because if PDP gives an Igbo man its ticket, the North wont vote for him, they will vote the none Igbo APC candidate.

The only way an Igbo man can be president is if the two major parties, PDP and APC, zone their presidential ticket to the South East, same way the 3 major parties of 1999, ANPP, PDP and AD all zoned the Presidential ticket to the South West

Without that happening, no Igbo man stands a chance

Not ANPP

They wanted to win and they lost.

And why did they lose?

Because Tinubu worked against them in Favour of Buhari and that’s how Buhari got bloc votes from Southwest delegates.

Same thing happened in 1999.

Ekwueme lost because some political forces had already thrown their weight behind Obasanjo because of 1993 Abiola imbroglio.

It is not necessarily because the north loves Yoruba more or because he was a better candidate.
