Hello House,

I am preparing my application and gathering needed document to apply for sturdy permit around Mar.
I am trying to get the full application documents form IMM forms and I noticed there are changes in the form titles and number with what some members have shared here.

Please see attached image from CIC website for Nigeria and let me know if these changes are correct as opposed to what members are submitting for example family information form etc has changed.

Canada loves young people like this, but finance must be in very good condition.

1. You can add affidavit of sponsorship.

2 and 3. Can they afford the tuition and fees legally? Visa officers will be looking at employment document from father. See if you can reactive the mother CAC document.

4. Those are assets to support the financial status of parents. You may or may not add valuation report. At the end, liquid money carry more weight than any valuation report.

5. If guardian is required, I belive they must be in the same city. It is better if applicant is related and will live with guardian for one year to clock 18.

Tighten your sponsorship well and make sure applicant submit a good LOE/SOP. All the best.

Thanks so much @ Osemigho . I really appreciate. God bless you real good .

Please correct your Number 2 data point. Cash in account isn't really an assets?. That literally the foundation of your proof of funds?
Ketima:

Hello SallyK,

So sorry for your refusal. is just a temporary delay. Now as we all know, you need to get your note to know what actually is the VO concern(s) as the reason in the refusal letter is generic.

Now one thing about having huge funds in the account and paying just a deposit is that it will make the VO question the genuineness of the applicants to study or is the fund just for demonstration purposes? Showing you earn 560k monthly, do you have other assets other than the 12million in the account to show that you're well established in your home country? Again, hope your company is a known establishment that will make the VO easily believe such monthly income and not from one SallyK and sons limited? So, you need to tighten all loose ends.

A Vo will believe that an applicant with 2million in account and paid one-year tuition and has assets in form of lands, shares, other properties is more established and will likely return back home than you who have all the millions but not established. which can easily tell him/her you don't plan to be established in your home country.

So my opinion is

1). Pay the entire one-year tuition to show that the money is yours and is meant for studies ( as the money is just floating back and forth between your account and mutual funds).
2). Show some assets in your name, not just huge money ( in this immigration process, cash in account isn't really an ASSET per se but Assets is cash in the making). This will go a long way to show you're well established and have what will likely bring you back home.

Again, as the funds keep moving between mutual funds and your account, I would like you to trace it back to the origin of the money movement from your account to a mutual fund and diligently explain it in your LOE to prove that the money is truly yours and also explain why you like keeping it in mutual funds. Why I said this is, people can borrow funds from people who do not like their money to be idle. So as not to keep their money idle, they send it to mutual funds so that it will be growing. Now once the visa application is approved, the fund is reversed and sent back to the owner.

So while you wait for your note, be your VO and begin now to draft your LOE and start also to get documents you may need to tackle the concerns.
But then, if the note comes out and you feel the refusal reason isn't justifiable, you may seek JR if you can afford it.

All the best.

Hello Omiinii,

I know the angle you're coming from. In general terms money is an assets. That's why I used the term in immigration process. If have 100mio in account and no assets in form of lands and other properties, and you have 3million in account with lands and other properties, VO will see you as more established than I am and that you're likely to return back home than me.

So my oga/ma, i feel is not about having huge money in account, but being established. Because VO may feel the money could be borrowed.

Above statement is not realistic
Even If someone has 50 thousands hectares of land and without minimum required funds ..in bank balance ...
The VO will still refuse on personal assets and financial status...
Unless you decides to sale the land for cash and money deposited to bank..even at that with no proof of employment and income that is sufficient they will refuse on same reasons..personal assets and financial status

To the VO current employment and steady income has more value than land..why bank accounts is proof of funds..

Land can only be used as ties to country of origin.... employment is more sufficient..

The land papers, do you have to send the original hard copies to the embassy.

Please throw more light on how you do this

Hello everyone. Please how possible is it to submit a visa application without a marriage certificate, will it raise a red flag? For instance, couple just did just their traditional marriage just before submitting the application.

Hello Predator,
Goodmorning.

I wasn't arguing with Omiinii. I was only advising SallyK (in my own opinion) based on what he/she stated. He or she has the required fund. earns 560k/month which amount to almost 7miliion per annum(just for salary). If you noticed I asked if the company he/she works with is well known and not like all the O.O & Sons Ltd and if he/she has assets to his or her name. i used land just to make it simple. I'm not a VO, but I believe those guys are trained to be critical thinkers. Even in my lay mans mind, having such job in nigeria and not be established in terms of acquiring assets could look somehow. So, in that sense, that's why I said it isn't about having huge funds in account, but being socio-economically tied to your country.(ties that would likely draw you back to your home country).

I would have quoted someone here who had almost the same profile with sally and was resufed too. She had 23.+million POF and Job with good pay. One of Vo's comment was, applicant single and not established. she had no assets to her name. She only has Job and money to her name.

That it worked for A doesn't mean it will work for B. So is good to always try and close all potential loopholes. I rest it here

Thank you so much Predator

Hello Amila,

Application is now done online and as such all doements are upload viia portal or sent by webform and or email. So scan them as PDF, merge them and upload accordingly.

Mind you, the max upload per section in new portal is 2mb, GCKey is 4mb and webform is 2mb. So if your docuemts are much (as per size of doc), you may need to know how you go about it. I had encounter with someone here, we only had to upload and submit some via portal. then share it into 3 copies and submit via webform as all the documents are important but cant be sent as one.

Maybe you need to get an Affidavit of fact, stating that you and your spouse are married traditionally, date It was held. the venue( your spouse village and compound) then attach pictures to back it up.

There is a way they do it at high court.

let those well groomed in that tell you more

Hi
My spouse moved a lump sum to my account
I have paid tuition in full
He is supporting because I am going with 2kids
Should I use letter of support or gift deed
His company has given us a letter
He is giving his payslip also
And the transaction receipt
We not using his statement because he isn’t sponsoring just supporting
What else should I collect ?
The money would be there for Atlist a month before I apply

Lumpsum is lumpsum, no matter how long.

Let him write a support letter stating the amount sent, date and purpose with reasons.

Write in your own letter too, where you got the lump sum , and it's purpose .

Do not write the word " lump sum " in your SOP please. Just say so so so and so amount was transferred to me on ..... by.... for.... .
