Finally someone I can relate with, Hi @Tcrown2020 our cases are almost similar, I also have a 16 year old son who would be 17 by June he recently wrote his waec examination last year, although I haven't applied. But we're already gathering the documents required for his application Tcrown2020: |

ninab: If your kids are following you, you have to explain how you will take care of then in Canada. Where will they be and who will Carr for them when you are school? An email showing you are in talk with or booked a daycare will suffice, but you must also mention it and cost implication in your LOE/SOP. You hubby will have to write and sign letter if support/authorization for you take your kids with you. I hope you have a good employment in Nigeria and submitted all the necessary documents to also be your home tie. All the best 2 Likes |

Sorry to hear. It's weird to be rejected for financial reasons when you have tuition waiver and funding. I am suspecting you might have missed out explaining your funding in your LOE, in such a way that the visa officer would easily understand. Officers at times don't easily figure out things, you need to show them by writing. lilangel20: |

lilangel20: Of course you will be denied for finance with that profile. An MBS of 150k balance is not sufficient at all. having a tuition waiver or funding does not mean you wont have need of living expenses. Kindly include your own bank statement housing $10,000cad or more living expense. 1 Like |

Divinedxtrovert: As long as the school offers the course the child has strong interest in, the applicant is okay to go for a college. I have seen a 17yr old, finished waec, applied for an advanced diploma in St Claire college and was approved. Though his elder sis is in canada already. |

lilangel20: Omo...the funding covers your tuition na. You still have to show living expenses. Flight alone is 600k. Then quarantine will take some money. You're going to get it next time. Just find a way of showing like 4 million naira from parents or a sponsor |

Please read her details well. She doesn't even need any personal account to add. I am a fully funded scholar here in Canada, I used only funding letter for myself. When I wanted to apply for spouse and kid a year later, I did same thing. Anon123: 1 Like |

lilangel20: For the next one, please write "university of ... scholarship". If the space if not enough, Full Scholarship. Next, when did you graduate? Are you currently working? If yes, did you submit your employment documents? If no, please do next time. Can your parent afford to send like 500k to you? If yes, let them send it to your account and write a letter of moral support, not financial support, for you. In the letter, they should explain how proud they are about your achievements, admission, and scholarship. Then mention that your scholarship will cover your tuition and living expenses in Canada hey, but they transferred .. to support your visa and travel expenses. They should also mention that they will be happy to welcome you back after the program. Finally, your SOP/LOE. You have to emphasize your scholarship and plan(s) after study and return to Nigeria in it. If going for masters and interested in research or academia, you are also allowed to say you will progress to a PhD. All the best. 2 Likes |
