yMcy56: In truth, LINKAGE should have absolutely no business trading @ <N1.31 But it's really not about Onegentleguy or anyone else. You don't need to be scared of anyone. Somewhere between the act of investing and the expectation of REWARD is something called VOLATILITY... and volatility is RISK. What we try to do is see how we can play around (tap from) the constantly changing "gap" btw feasible RISK and inherent REWARD. Sometimes you will be right... at other times you will be wrong... No human is perfect. ...for as long as you lay out your views on the foundation of fact and/or other logical input, but without an ill intent, then it is welcome. The KEY is to ensure we WIN more and lose less, whether as investors or traders. No one should be perceived as being bigger than any platform. We are all here to help each other grow. Pls keep up the good work! Regards. 8 Likes |

onegentleguy:Thanks boss. NSEMPAS generally don't want to hear insurance, so it's good i exercise enough caution. On linkage sir, I noticed that some expenses really chopped into the profit, thus landing the PAT in the negative region despite increased revenue Q-on-Q....... Although, it looks more like the dumping already bottomed, but will appreciate if you can highlight on the positive lines in the financials from the expert's point of view........ It's fine if not convenient sir. Me self go find time check am from my amateur's point of view... |

yMcy56: To be honest, the post will be a bit long and I currently do not have the time for long epistle. Sorry but am very busy now. However, what folks should know is that the approach to EFFECTIVELY value an insurance coy is different and looking at the top line is just a part of it. There are other very pivotal KEY ratios, and you need to scrutinize and interpret them all. For instance, dig in on the reason for the negative NPM (underwriting loss in view) Then ask yourself; Are there positives in-between? What can be infered from those positives and more? and finally but more importantly, How do those positives compare to the negatives IN VIEW OF THE CURRENT MKT PRICE? (value quest from risk-reward peg in view) If you see a drop in topline, go further to question why. ...question everything! You can send me a Pm and I'll let you in on a few things later. ^^ @Onegentleguy sir, Thanks so much for your response. Think I prefer that you don't even stress yourself about it nor post it here again. I've tried to get few things from the info I'm seeking. Dear friend, @SonofElElyon, why are you particular about penny stocks self? Try and buy dividend paying stocks for now, if you want penny, there are dividend paying penny stocks too. Not saying Linkage is not also good @CP for cap appreciation anyway but don't know if they'll pay dividend or not. |

sonofElElyon:Patience bro.. No need to rush into any stock just for buying's sake, opportunities will come..... Btw, my ogas did quite a lot of analysis and gave stock recommendations before now....... My main point earlier was to prevent you from jumping into Dunlop, so stay away from some moribund stocks, if not sure of any, ask before jumping into them.... You may also take some time to read previous pages... 3 Likes |

Caverton’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Bode Makanjuola blaming COVID19, low oil production and exchange rate for their 5.9 Billion loss. Also a claim that a large bulk of it's loss is a one off expense: repairs, facility overhaul and start-up costs for the elicopter contract with Cheveron. Here I get confused, can an investment be reported as a loss? Since it claims to have large "enough" reserves to absorb the loss, are investors likely to receive dividends from past retained earnings? English is not my strongest suit. |

Ovamboland: This one of the industries that attracts highest tax rate. there are others , that have lower rates and some that are tax free. However, the high tax rate is the reason growth stocks are better. But in a period when the market is bearish, one has no option but to have some dividend paying stocks in the portfolio. |

yok: In some cases the duration of hold makes the tax high. I know for a resident, holding for over a year can reduce your tax by over 8%-10% Also there are other things you might be able to do to reduce the tax as well.

onegentleguy: sonofElElyon:This was posted just yesterday. Transcorp was selling @0.91/0.93 range not too long ago and it's been noised here, you for don pick some units.......you can watch out for pullback and buy some, the stock may likely perform well this year.......lots of positive news surrounding it.....Waiting for Q4 result..... Consider Chams @20/21k....... CHI Plc.....if it can come down a bit lower than CP (0.65k), very good Q4 released......... Lasaco @1.05 downwards if you can get...,.... Alternatively, be patient and let the euphoria of results go down first, then audited results will be a pointer to which and which to pick. 2 Likes |

Nice set up in the insurance sector. Most insurance stocks below #1 now will trade above #1 in this 2022. Some of the insurance stocks above #1 now will touch #10,#7 and #5 in this 2022. Most insurance stocks will pay good dividends in this 2022. The following stocks should be put into considerations when picking from the sector......The best ones for me oooo.......Custodian, Nem, mansard, Lasaco, Regency, sovereign,Consolidated hallmark. Except Lasaco, others will deliver good audited result and possibly dividends to shareholders.Lasaco will rise because of shareholding structure and it's shares outstanding which is the best among all the insurance companies at the moment. Others are sunu, royalex but their results are not encouraging.I will consider them because their OS is okay when compare to others. Other good stocks are Aiico, conerstone, Linkage but they need to work on their OS to gain my attention. Mercy, I know you will be happy to hear this from me although insurance stocks are no no for me except Lasaco which I have some holdings. Will buy more at 90kobo if possible. 1 Like |

There is one stock. This stock has really dealt with some top ogas here. Some went on exile till today because of what the stock did to them in the past. This stock lacks good corporate governance because of bad mgt. This stock is set to deliver in price action but the results are nowhere to be found for over 2 yrs now due to the issue it's having with the regulators. I am here to announce to our members to get ready for sharp rise.Infact the stock may deliver close to 500% if not more than. With all these expressions, the stock is decoded.Soon we gonna see if I am right or wrong. |
