PRESS STATEMENT

CG FROWNS AT WITHDRAWAL OF OFFICIALS ASSIGNED TO MEMBER HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE, ORDERS REINSTATEMENT.

The leadership of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has dismissed as unauthorized and without recourse to the Corps constituted authority, a letter signed and sent to a Member of the House of Representatives, Hon Shima Peller, informing him of the withdrawal of officials of the NSCDC assigned to him.

Not only did the officer in question lacked the power to do such, he was also found to have acted on his whims without clearance. The Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, has therefore directed a reinstatement of the withdrawn officers with a compliment of necessary courtesies to the Honourable Member.

State Government and senate function is different from each other.

If You no get Money there is problem of not affording a certain lifestyle.
If you get money, there is a problem of protecting yourself and your asset.

Especially in a country like ours, the rich and the poor have problems to deal with.

If i'm to agree with Peller that the NSCDC should be scrapped based on duplicity of functions with the police, then I must by the same logic agree that the FG will save more money if it scraps the House of Reps too. Every single thing they are doing can be done by the Senate. And the FG should scrap the Senate too, because every single thing they are doing can be done by the State governments. So we don't really need the Senate and House of Reps. Nigeria will save trillions of Naira annually if we scrapped these 2 institutions.

Shebi baba instituted a bill for scrapping them? Is it not better they first scrap his NSCDC securities. Spending how many years in the national assembly and no meaningful contribution, elections are around the corner and you suddenly realise NSCDC needs scraping. This 2023 will shock plenty of you politicians

Nigeria - an entity where our House of Rep and senators are being guarded by publicly funded security personnel, while the public that is providing the fund to the the police are at the mercies of "holy spirit" and "Allah".

I look at the quality of people enjoying this courtesy and I realise that most of them should be in prison, rotting away but here they are, being guarded by state security apparatus.

That is the story of my country - Nigeria

If they can do that to a senator are u saying as youths engaged in endsars it’s right for police to not pick up their call if they have criminal complaint?
