I watched the game Sadiq show why Almeria are not on top of the table they definitely missed him

They lost all their games except one which they drew while he was at the AFCON. That is the difference between an impact player and a squad player. Same with Osimhen, Napoli struggled to win games in the league while he was out injured. If you want to know a star player, look at his club's performance in his absence.

I have seen where man city go a man down and still end up winning.

Let me ask, which is the bigger loss? Losing to CAR at home or exiting AFCON at R16?

I guess we can all pick and choose who to criticize.. Bitter truth is Eguavoen is a one dimensional coach that feels 442 of 1994 is still the best. He cannot see beyond that and it's troubling.

The pharaohs gave us too much respect and they paid dearly for it. Where we to face this team again, i do not see us beating them in 90 minutes.

After Egypt we played 2 useless teams and we thought we had arrived.

AFCON 2022 was a disaster for Nigeria. An absolute disgrace and an embarrassment to our history as a soccer loving nation. In serious countries that care about developement, the entire coaching staff and NFF board would've tendered their resignation and disappeared never to be heard from again.

Spain and Germany that retained their coaches after being eliminated in group stage of world cup are not serious footballing nation abi?

I have absolutely no issues with Sadiq remaining in the NT. Even his biggest doubter here komekn will now agree with me wink
drDoom3:
For someone so lanky, Sadiq dribbles so well. Reminds me so much of Kanu.

Umar Sadiq carrying this Almeria team.

The last time, Sadiq started for Almeria, they 9 points clear in La Liga 2.

Since then they've failed to win all 6 games and fell 3 points off first place.

Today Sadiq won two penalties and scored to send them joint-top again.
First win in 2022.

Man like Umar!

100 percent. A brotherhood wouldn't help their brand like a rivalry would.

Very unnecessary mate, there's no need to malign one to elevate the other.

Tijani is doing well, Nwakali will come good. Respect.

Not proposed. This is confirmed since 2019 and is under development.

Would rival world's top 10 leagues according to revenue generation.

Love Messi far more, but he has poor leadership qualities.

When 18-year-old Xavi Simmons missed his spot kick that crashed PSG out of Coupe de France, 'was watching intently to see if Messi will console him, but he just walked off.

Also unlike Ronaldo, Messi doesn't lead the press.

Didn't watch the Boro match, but here's him consoling Elanga.

Losing to CAR at home is actually more shameful than crashing out in the round of 16 of AFCON in my books...At least Tunisia are a formidable side.. They may not have a good squad like he, but they are well known big boys on the continent..We lost to a top team!
But Central African Republic? Come off it...

going by Fifa ranking Tunisia is better than Nigeria

Lol .. LiveScore fans..Then plenty everywhere.. Anybody that wants to label Eguavon a failure is doing so out of painment and not reality..

The main reason I'm supporting him to continue is because I saw a lot of improvement in the team under him.. Individually, some players like Simon, Ekong and Ndidi put in the kind of performance we have always wanted from them, while Aina and Aribo were given more freedom to roam. As a team, we pressed more, attacked better, retained possession better and moved the ball around better.. Even Eguavon's hardcore critics can't deny the facts on ground... One moment of bad luck doesn't mean there won't be better ones ahead.

I remember when Klopp took over from Rodgers in the middle of the season.. Our performance greatly improved with the same corp of players Rodgers was playing rubbish with..That same season we reached two cup finals but were unlucky to lose both. It didn't stop most of the fans from believing in Klopp..We know what happened afterward..

Eguavon is no Klopp, and I'm not saying we should give him 5 years like Rohr.. But looking at how good he made the team look despite having a short period of time and unavailable key players to prepare, I'd say he has earned the rights to another chance!
Rohr earned his 5 years if Eguavoen too can earn it no problem. One thing I’ve noticed about Eguavoen critics both here and on twitter is that they are more emotional than logical

Eguavoen took the job knowing fully well that there's no margin for error..

Eguavoen is just the Ole Gunnar Solksjaer version of Rohr since he talks a good game and actually played some decent attacking football in the group stage of the AFCON...

Bitter truth is that both are outdated coaches..
Nawa o. Play 4 win 3 loose 1 = outdated coach. If he’s not outdated nko

It is a player like Kelechi Nwakali that makes a team tick. He is like a glue that holds a team at the center.

It is not just myopic, it is foolish to talk down on what a Nwakali can bring.
It is so evident that we need his abilities.

If you have any problem with his attitude, say it.
Don't berate his skill and contribution.
Hmmmmm, Kelechi I know you are the one behind this monicke

Yes you are right, his passes are good but I don't judge footballers by their youth exploits. Kelechi Nwakali and Rabiu Ibrahim come to mind
