Sometimes I question whether EndSARS was actually a good thing, and not because of the disruption it caused in so many lives.

Looks to my eyes that political discourse in Nigeria has been poisoned by the ghost of that thing. Maybe it came too soon.

Twitter is influential and it sets some agenda for what happens offline, but it is not *YET* the primary location for political engagement.

Unfortunately because EndSARS started from Twitter and the hapless Buhari govt banned Twitter, this has exaggerated its importance.

This false importance has created thousands of people who think they have figured out Nigerian politics because they went out to protest for 2 weeks and scared the government enough to reprise Tianenmen Square.

Now you can't tell them anything because "they took part in EndSARS"

Everyone is seeking power or trying to consolidate their power base....altruism died with the likes of Martin Luther, Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi.

Rinu, Omojuwa and others have all become mini gods after the end sars episode. They feel they're well versed in political and social discourse. Whereas the reverse is the case.

You cant trust most of these so called activists. They just using this to cash out. Not trying to bring Tinubu into this conversation but he will make a bad President. Nigerians should be wise. Peter Obi wont also make a good President . We need some fresh blood with fresh ideas

David Hundeyin should shut the fvck up. The cut and sew journalist should be the last person to call others proud and ambitious. He’s far worse.

As regards the Endsars activists, there is absolutely nothing surprising in how they are unfolding. It has always been about fame, clout and politics.

That Rinu is now shamelessly hosting Saraki on her Twitter space says it all. The wicked and evil politicians who pushed them behind the scene to escalate the protest after the demands have been met are gradually being exposed. In Nigeria, nobody does anything for altruistic reasons. There is always a hidden selfish interest.

Rinu just like every other activist has political leaning. Besides, she feels pdp is better alternative. I cannot blame her. It was APC government that ordered lekki massacre and reaction of people to massacre caused carnage that followed it.

Tinubu is way better than Saraki. Tinubu’s achievements in terms of Human Resource development, Infrastructural development and enduring policies in areas of revenue generation, waste management, legal services etc are still very visible in Lagos till today. What are the legacies of Saraki in Kwara? Propaganda and emotions apart, they are not even close.

Including beautification and glorification of area boys/agberos/nurtw under direction of MC.
I remember in 1998, Buba Marwa removed agberos from lagos streets and parks? What did Tinubu did? He empowered them.
Keep on worshipping Tinubu, your eyes would soon clear.

My issue is the Twitter Spaces created to discuss politics and they are so damn serious about it. I can understand someone like Ndi Kato aligning with the PDP because she believes the party will likely protect her interests of securing Southern Kaduna but not on Twitter! Elections have never been won on social media in any country!

Another funny one is Kinglsey Moghalu, God! What a comedian that he is. grin grin He is there doing a presidential campaign on Twitter?! Seeing his tweets are a comic relief to me sha.

Y'all should be prepared for Tinubu as your president grin In Nigeria, always expect the worst to happen. That should be your default state of mind.

Reasons some of them detest Sowore involvement in the protest, they are mouthpiece of the oppressive elitist politicians.

No wonder Buhari want to crush the protest.

Agberos are everywhere in Nigeria including your home state. They have been in Lagos before Tinubu was born and will continue to be in Lagos for a very long time.

It’s also silly to limit Tinubu’s achievements to Agberos. His achievements are still visible in areas of revenue generation, waste management, traffic management, BRT services, infrastructure, legal services, and human capacity development. Tell us the enduring achievements of Saraki that we can still point at today in Kwara?
