Keep quoting from blog and passing them down as your comment. Your subtle attempt to validate why Ghana does not have skycraper will not sell here. The European you eager to copy has skyscraper in their capitals now tell us what percentage of skyscrapers built in Africa can be found in Accra?

Stupid refugee always passing senseless comments .

They are 1.5billion people in China.

Access to land may be limited so in order to accommodate many going up is all that can happen. You see it in Hong Kong, Singapore etc limited land to build

However its not an ideal, or best way to build but for them its up or no where.

Exactly! Necessity is the mother of invention. Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea built or are building skyscrapers due to the need to utilize their small space to accommodate their ever growing population.

There was restriction of skyscraper structures in Lagos State and Abuja though it was only allowed in Lagos Island but recently restriction was lifted in Victoria Island, Ikoyi and Lekki but there’s still limit to the numbers of floors or height allowed in Ikoyi area.

Why? Because there is high demand for apartments and office spaces in Ikoyi and Victoria Island respectively, and these places are too expensive to be building one floor or two floors hence the need to effectively maximize the little spaces.

As for EAC, it was necessary to stop the erosion from Lagos coastline and reclaim the land from the Atlantic Ocean. The developer and contractor decided to recoup their money from the reclaimed land by building a city with skyscrapers and it has been successful so far.

I can tell you now skyscrapers sites not make economic sense. Yes in 20th century but not in 21st century.

Countries are sampling work at home regime,... You know what that means?
All I get is that now Nairobi has overtaken us in skyscrapers... we need an excuse.Developers determine what best.. for them.Dubai is an expansive desert but they are building up.

Isn't it odd that some developers come to do projects that are no longer being done world wide, I believe governments sets direction on what kinda developments it needs in the country
Gov of North Korea no doubt otherwise projects go through approval process where ideally residents or neighborhood should object or accept.. ideally all skyscrapers should be located in a specific zone.. mostly business districts.City that sprawl encounter serious challenge mostly traffic

Despite being one of the most developed, densely populated and economically prosperous continents, Europe has surprisingly few skyscrapers, particularly when compared to Asia and North America.

Of the 218 skyscrapers constructed on the continent to date, 66% of them are located in just five cities – London, Paris, Frankfurt, Moscow and Istanbul

You, listen, all these excuses will not justify any development in your city. Leave ghana out of this, please.

Secondly, only big boys in Africa can argue about skyscrapers. Skyscrapers are built for a reason, especially if your country is rich or the land price is too expensive for a mere 10fls... Utilizing a squire piece of 200M with 30fls will be of more economic value than a 2fls.

And next time, try engaging your brain cells. We all know outside copy-pasting articles, you're empty upstairs. what I mean, type...... Don't rely on copy-pasting. At least acknowledge the article by emboldening it if you have to keep the game.

Anyway, most famous and developed cities in Europe have skyscrapers : London, Moscow, instabul, israeli cities, etc.

They will treat their sewage to produce gas for the resident .... This is what green and sustainable development is. All highrise buildings, schools, malls and hospitals use this innovation.

Innovation escaped Kenyans does not mean it escaped everyone such that you guys are still fetching poop in gallons in this day and age.
