A 4k tv only makes sense if you have native 4k input signal. Which a PS4 is not at all. The 4k will upscale the PS4 1080p signal and make it even a lot worse. I play xbox series s which is upscaled 4k onto a 4k display and even that looks meh mediocre. A 4k television without the content it needs is marketing bullshit from a salesman trying to rip one off imho.

4K bawo? The Ps4 base I'm using doesn't even support 4K, buying a 4K TV to it will only give you same graphics with the 1080p HD. You would need a Ps4 Pro with a 4K TV to get a picture quality difference.

They both have their advantages but come with a steep price. 4K oled from LG has most deep black but is very reflective. The samsung 4k qled is more bright but has less deep blacks. Now to be honest you dont need a 4k tv in Nigeria. There is no 4k content anyway over cable. Unless you buy a playstation 5 with blu ray 4k capacity. But honestly, how many have that kind of budget available?

I know. Getting a 4K TV is expensive here.

- the ps4 unit settings or broken
- the tv settings or broken
- the connections used (type or broken)

1. Is it on all tv's? Then its either its the cables or console
2 is it not on al tvs then the tv is broken or its a tv setting
3. Is it also with other input sources like dvd, cable? Then clearly something with tv is wrong.

Elimination is best thing here to figure out what is really the issue. Good luck.

I think his submission is spot on. You just didn't perceive enough.

He's clearly talking about having the required content readily available before going for one.

And on the dissection table is a PS4 which clearly doesn't meet up to the specification.

No no, you clearly misinterpret me. I say that when the content is not there it's marketing BS.
I don't say nobody needs a 4K television or can buy one. But it doesn't make sense when you can't deliver it a 4K (UHD) signal.

For instance, you need 25Mbps at least to stream 4K (UHD) Netflix. I'm not sure about everyone off course, but it's not steadily available for a lot Nigerians. Also watching an hour of 4K Netflix (sorry they call it UHD content) uses 7Gigabytes of data. Also not always available for everyone to watch for hours.

No worries, nobody can know it all.
Yeah here they promote 8K also in Belgium. But it's hard to keep up and constantly buy the latest tech because it's waaaaaaay to expensive as early adopter. I have a 4K computer display because I did design work a lot, but I don't even have a 4K TV.

Because constantly streaming 4K content strains the internet connection, and 4K digital cable signal is still so much compressed that it's way worse then a 4K blu-ray ultra disk. I just don't see the benefit for me at the moment. A 4K OLED from LG cost around 1250 EUR's here. That's around 600,000NGN. It's a lot of money and to be honest and I hardly watch any television because there is not many good programs on it in my opinion.

I love to watch nature documentaries and for the rest its mostly talkshows and commercials haha.
Again for me personally, I don't see the benefit in a 4K television at the moment.

I have the 65” LG C4 TV. Believe me, it quite a machine! Though your point at first, seems a bit of generalization. I was only out to correct the impression that there are hundreds of Nigerians out there who have access to these stuffs. All the same, your points are valid. Cheers

That's quite something indeed. Here we pay a monthly fee and have unlimited data usage but its still (silently in the small letters ) capped by a fair use policy. Lets say you go over a ridiculous amount daily they suspend you to a lower speed for a while.
