Karlovich: That's because he went to university and there is some records of his sports achievement at university games. It's shameful because he has been CAUGHT, think about those who were not CAUGHT and never will be CAUGHT. Most of our over age player's adopt new names that make it impossible to trace thier past history. |

Selfmade on Feb 5, 17:17 Beat them We have to take this match with all the seriousness it deserves!! For those who keep saying if we don’t qualify for the wc is ok, should pack themselves to a a corner and allow some of us who really want the bs to beat Nigeria to the ticket!! They already blocked us once from going to the wc and we shouldn’t allow it to happen again otherwise is going to be a record and a history in the making!! We should do anything under our power to beat them in cape coast and make the return leg a DOG FOGHT! We should prepare and put everything in place to beat them!! Eguavon who has been appointed as their coach only has one tactics, WING PLAY and we should cut and brutally block their wingers from playing and seize control of the midfield and is going to be done and dusted!! There’s no plan B for them!! They can’t play thru the midfield and we should seize control of the midfield and block their wingers!! We should beat them Culled from Ghanaweb... 1 Like |

Chris Houghton will be confirmed as the new Ghana coach. For me the best man for job. Apart from his football credentials and undoubted knowledge and experential competencies. I have never ever met a more honest and righteous man in football. Add to that his humility leaves me speechless. Ages ago l wanted him to be Nigerian coach, and l said it maybe problematic because he will never compromise his integrity for the NFF. What does that mean, beating Ghana was never going to be easy. But with Chris at the helm of affairs it just got even much harder. Chris has the integrity and influence to bring to Ghana, Hudson -Odio, Lamptey and Salisu and a few other from the English premier League. 1 Like

andrewbaba44: Andy, stop the caps and understand the point of DrDoom3. Before Osimhen's Injury, Napoli were unbeaten and he was also their highest goal scorer and best goal threat. His influence in attack also didn't stop at goals alone. You say he scored only one goal in his last 6 games before his injury vs Inter abi. Well first of all, that is not correct. OSIMHEN SCORED 2 GOALS. Match Winner vs Torino and one goal off the bench in the UEL vs Spartak Moscow. Also in that same 6 games period, Osimhen won 2 penalties for Napoli vs Bologna which Insigne converted to hand Napoli a 3-0 win. Where you not on this thread that day of the Bologna game where I analysed that a player can influence a game so much yet not have the primary stats we all reference pick it up? Are penalties won counted as assists when converted? No. So because they aren't, you suddenly forget how madly influential Osimhen was in attack that day? You forget how bad Osimhen felt about Insigne not even allowing him play one of the two pens he worked hard to win for the team? You forget how Anguissa and Koulibaly didn't celebrate the second insigne penalty but stayed back to cheer up Osimhen? Na wa for you sef. Listen My Man Andy, goals and assists are not the only measure of influence. TheGoodJoe is right. Get his point also. Goals and Assists matter in the grand scheme of things as easy primary reference for how much a player brings to a team directly but No be by Goals and assists alone and I have already showed an example of this using the Bologna game. Osimhen was practically the reason Napoli scored for free before his injury. Italian analysts always kept harping on how Osimhen's movements and workrate across the final third always opened up different channels of attack for his teammates to exploit. Or you think it's coincidence that Napoli lost the same day Osimhen got injured? It's no coincidence. As they lost their main man, they began to struggle and it showed in subsequent results. Osimhen didn't finish the Inter game so using that in your point is funny. This is not hype but facts. Osimhen is the heart and soul of that Napoli team now. He is their biggest gun and even Insigne knows this and thanks goodness he is leaving for Toronto. Happy New Month. 3 Likes 1 Share

This dude, whoever he is, really got us figured out. But my hope is the addition of Emmanuel Amunike. Everything he said is true but I like that they think we would approach that game with "one tactic" alone. I trust Eguavoen won't make the same tactical mistake (unless he intends to fall hands again). They should be in for a surprise if Amunike works his tactical magic. March is just next month. Time will tell. dijon: 3 Likes |

TheSuperNerd: Pass your point briefly next time ,I picked the important part and ignore your unnecessary newspaper Before osimhen injury how was Napoli unbeaten Nerdy ? Same osimhen that played at the 3-2 lost against inter millan ? I didn’t tell you osimhen isn’t the heart and the soul of Napoli ,nobody ask you that one (OLORO) Wishing you the best this new month doctor |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 11:25pm On Feb 05, 2022 |
That narrative is as true as the sun. It doesn't mean a player shouldn't score or assist. That is unarguably important. But a player can also heavily influence a game without doing both. The Osimhen game vs Bologna is a perfect example. There are many more of such examples. Even Zidane had such games in the past. There is something you have to accept Andy. Napoli is Osimhen now. And Osimhen is Napoli. He is their biggest gun and his impact on that team is huge. That is the reality now. Little wonder Newcastle came with 100 million euros for Osimhen during this winder window and Napoli bounced it back. andrewbaba44: 2 Likes 1 Share |

andrewbaba44: Still as foul and as unintelligent as he was in 2021 and last month. No wonder he finds reading so hard. You say he didn't score in some games yet you don't know he was also winning penalties in some of those games?? Against Fiorentina nko... Against Cagliari nko where he also scored. Oga, the day Inter beat Napoli was the day Osimhen got injured and didn't finish the game. Are you listening to yourself? Before the Inter game (day of Osimhen's injury), Napoli were unbeaten! Or you need an interpreter for that?? So a post must be short to make sense abi? Just say you are lazy to read. Afterall, most people don't like reading these days. Una like things easy. This AFCON may likely go down as one with the most penalty shootouts in the knockout phase. Perhaps this indicates a bridging of the gap between the traditional powerhouses and erstwhile minnows on the continent.. Expect very tough games during WCQ in March. 2 Likes |

What are you just hard of understanding? You are still locked in on goals alone while the issue here is his overall influence on Napoli's attacking plays. Why is that so hard to understand really? But to answer your question... His goals vs Udinese, Cagliari and Sampdoria were all Match Winners. I am not counting the Torino game. 3 March winners before the Torino game. Vs Fiorentina, he won a penalty that contributed to their win. Vs Bologna, he won two penalties that gave them a 3-0 win. Vs Cagliari... he won another penalty after stretching the legendary Diego Godin who also held his neck in that same game while marking Osimhen (a pic that has gone viral now). He already had bagged the match Winner in this same game. Also his goals saved Napoli vs Leicester in England and that plus his all round performance got the whole of England talking huge over him. Remember? So do you see why you don't make sense as regards your downplay of Osimhen's importance to Napoli? You keep talking reality when the reality is that you actually don't know much about Osimhen's influence on that Napoli team. And this is exactly part of the reason why again this post may be a bit lengthy because I (again) have to always lay out and break down the facts for you but the problem is that probably you don't just read to understand. Keep looking for short posts okay. Short-post subscriber andrewbaba44: 2 Likes 1 Share |

You are obviously the one shedding tears. The alcohol in you made you say at first that he scored One goal in 6 games. Then I correct you saying it is 2 goals and you type "more than one goal" Ehyeeaaa.... seeing a little of the light now? Oya see more... he also won 2 penalties in same period.
