When she entered the university (a top ten uni), I warned her not to return. She was wondering why am I worried and that she plans returning after her studies. Not long ago, she called to inform me that she's done. So I asked, when are you returning? She said "return fire!". I've applied for PSV and got approved. I don't see her returning until she becomes a citizen (she sounded insistent on this).

The onus is on you to prove relationship.

Apart from the sponsorship letters, try taking pictures with them, present WhatsApp chats and if possible they should pay a bulk of the fees from their account

Although this guarantees nothing, but it strengthens your application especially when you're not biologically related to the sponsor.

For the record they are not black Canadians, I have tons of pictures from them, chat and screenshot of video chat
I know it's not a guarantee, but in someway I hope it strengthens my chances of getting in.... I have my personal money and other properties I can add too.

Another area which you can explore is becoming an ESL instructor e.g teach english as a second language.

Let me break it down, Countries like China, UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong etc only employ native English speakers (real oyibo) to teach them English so you have zero chance there.

But countries like Vietnam, Russia, Thailand, Brazil, Costa Rica, Argentina etc will give you a chance if you obtain onsite TEFL or CELTA certification, for now average monthly salary is 1k USD.

Obtain a 3 months tourist visa and run any of the course in your preferred country for 6 weeks, 5k USD should cover everything, Visa, Tuition, Accommodation, Feeding and Transportation.

TEFL and CELTA bodies assist with job search for their onsite graduates.

try more schools, they have quotas and many people with better results than you applied too. Its competitive out there

In this era of Covid, online TEFL or CELTA won't be a bad idea because of travel restrictions, just ensure that you build strong Onyibo accent, Vocabulary and grammar etc and look for jobs online...

I think most people only realize how expensive Canada is when they eventually get there. Then you start hearing once I get my passport I am coming back to Naija.
