We need stiff penalties for such crimes! Not just making the laws but full enforcement as well. Also parents of such ward and family members should be named and shamed publicly..

E no get as e won be wey e never be before, Money Juju must have been as old as prostitution that's if its not older than Olosho sef,

It has come to stay and it ain't going anywhere, all we can do is curb this menace eating up our society.
How do we do that?
1. Families as in parents have a role to play in their wards upbringing.
2. Government has a greater one to play in making sure that this Children raised well are not tempted to indulge in illegal means of money making by providing job security and all the needed amenities these families has paid for through tax.

But the reverse is the case , you can argue with your phone when you don't want to accept that our Government is the major problem of our bleeped up society as the greatest ritualist and yahoo boys are our politicians.

Fact!

You my friend is a Ritualist sympathizer. You read what you wrote again. You are actually blaming the government instead of blaming the evil people that kills humans for money. No matter how bad the country is. Killing humans for money is the most inhuman thing to do

Government needed to declare war against money ritual. Quick judgement against those who are caught to serve as scape goat to others.

This is sad, the most annoying part is that the money that's making them to get involved in all those rituals is not they will spend on theirselves, it'll be spent on hoes

It's the domino effect of poor leadership... Nigeria is lucky to have Religion and "it is well" still holding it. Any country with such indices below would have gone full blown war and anarchy.

- 200m population..
- 10m out of school children..
- 100m below poverty line..
- 30,000 minimum wage with inflation at 17%..
- 34m unemployed..
- 4m Internally displaced persons..
- World poverty capital..

Solutions:

- Massive Low cost housings.. (rental inflation clipped which saves the bulk of salaries)

- Refineries (privatised).. (Petrol monopoly clipped)

- Mortgage and credit system facilities on properties and items.. (self actualization even with low income, yahoo/fraud/ritual influence on youths clipped)

- Strict labour laws (mandatory 6hrs jobs only)..(massive employment as12hrs jobs like we have now must be shared between two persons)..

- All vacant lands can be used for agriculture if not developed after 2months of sale or face revocation.. (massive agricultural revolution as owner would turn farmers by force while creating employment)..

Noted. I'll be gathering people of like minds like you to build a think-tank structure for government. Pls put all these together in writing and lets work together to create a better society

There’s a video I watched, a guy was straffing a dead body, with maggots coming out. It left me devastated.
The problem of these rituals is that it doesn’t even get them the latest 2022 Benz, it’s always one Mercedes of 5-8 mil max and one house not more than 10mil.
It’s not worth it abeg, if ritual can only get u iPhone 13 and GLK, I’m sorry it’s not really worth it.
I also blame Buhari, he claimed he’ll fight corruption, but doesn’t know the best way to fight it is by providing massive job opportunities.
I saw that video yesterday and quickly put the idiot that uploaded it to his status without warning on mute forever... so disgusting. I'm still being traumatised by it rn

There are many solid points made in the write up. I believe the root of the problem is in the family ... family upbringing.... and not the government. Not saying the government is blameless. There are sooo many dirt poor Nigerians .... don't know where the next meal is coming from ... but yet ... money ritual is never considered. So many who are caught ... are not even poor ... nor jobless. Greed and the desire to live an affluent lifestyle .... to be counted as a somebody .... in a society where it doesn't matter how one gets there .... is what is driving this trend. Where the government is to be blamed is doing nothing to stop it. We hear about people being caught ... and the most we will hear about the consequences is the person will be charged to court. How can this be a deterrent? We need to hear the person was sentenced to life imprisonment with hard labor.... sentenced to death by hanging ... sentenced to death by stoning.... something. But how can we expect the government to do something when some members are involved in same?... religious leaders to speak out when they are involved in same? ... parents to scold their children when they are part of the same? Maybe... just maybe... jungle justice may be our only hope to root out the herbalists and those involved.

Please enlighten me somebody. Does ritual money pass through the banking system? Do Yahoo Yahoo boys deposit money in the bank and do they withdraw just as other bank customers do?

And how would you divorce economic hardship from current trend. A country where people pay twice as much for what they paid in 2015 will dispose people to awkward reasoning and moves.
Other factors? Yes but country's poor leadership and economic frustration contribute a lot
