Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Omiinii: 10:46am On Feb 06, 2022 |
You already said it's a gift deed why would you wait a while? Do you want the officer to suspect you for using the funds for demonstration purposes? There's no specific time period funds should stay in an account it's a mistake people make and a trend officers are aware about. They are concerned with the sources of funds. And you already declared the source by saying it's a gift deed! Iamgrac: |

Hello, The requirement has always been to travel one month before your program begins, I doubt if that rule has been relaxed, please check. You will not even be allowed to board from the Nigerian airport irrespective of whether you have funds to cater for yourself. Please double check before you buy tickets, good luck! BeejayB: 1 Like |

International students in Canada have the right to change their program or institution as long as their study permit is valid. This means that you can change the college you are studying in Canada after getting a visa or study permit. You must make sure that you meet all the criteria required by your study permit. This involves studying at a designated learning institution (DLI) and regularly participating in your studies in Canada. Note that your main purpose and activity must be studying, therefore, your study program is required to be a full-time basis. You will also need to inform (CIC) about the college change. This is done by reporting the federal government through your online account that you have currently changed your post-secondary institution. After signing in your online account, you will need to enter your new college’s DLI number, your student ID number and as well as the date you are going to start your new study program. In Quebec, the procedure of changing schools or study programs is a bit different. If you want to study in Quebec as an international student, you must have a Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ). Those who are already in Quebec as students, need to submit a new CAQ application to be able to change their educational program, school or institution. Tcrown2020: 1 Like |

dikadubai: That will depend on the university and department you are applying to. If you want a guaranteed timeline, go for direct entry degree programs at polytechnics. A degree is a degree in Canada. Some employers actually prefer polytechnics, because of their practical approach, than universities. Lemme ask, what your OND program and age? 1 Like |

desi10mi: Not true. You just have to prove your home ties. I know a candidate that successfully applied for another masters in Canada, while completing one in the UK. She had a Canadian professor that was very very interested in her. Her Canadian school gave her full scholarship and recognized her incomplete UK masters for admission. She completed the UK masters before starting her Canada masters because it was one year. |

Please, I did my biometrics since September 1st 2021 and since then I’ve not been asked to bring my passport or asked for medicals. What do you suggest I do? Also my dad was my sponsor and we used landed properties worth millions as POF even tho we submitted our bank statement which doesn’t have much money in it, hope this won’t affect me in any way Thanks, anticipating your response. |

A gift deed is not a proof of fund document; instead, it is used to explain the source of the fund. Regarding immigration, a gift deed is used to let the visa officer know that someone gifted the money to you. For instance, if your sponsor deposits a lump sum in your account, the sponsor should give you a gift deed so that the visa officer would know that the money is not a loan. You wouldn’t need a gift deed if you submitted the sponsor’s bank statement and the sponsor did not transfer money to your account. Iamgrac: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by bullstriker: 7:34pm On Feb 06, 2022 |
When someone transfers money to you, it should be accompanied by a gift deed because visa officers would like an explanation for any lump sum in your account. hayoBams: |
