I put my faith above tradition so I would chose Church wedding anytime. As for registry, na only certificate I need, not a big deal.
keep deceiving yourself. "put my faith above tradition" yen yen yen. so long as you want to marry a Nigerian, you must perform the traditional rites of the bride's culture. na m.u.s.t. marriage begins when the father of the bride hands her over to the groom, not your pastor gerrit.

What about traditional and church marriage

Was it the same 10 people crowd that you gathered or they were more

The way you arranged your marriage is the way people will attend, you are not doing it to impress anyone

But to fulfill all righteousness

why will they still need church wedding after this?

Even though I'd prefer a quiet wedding but I know it's not going to be possible. The way my mum goes about the day her only daughter will get married is scary to me, I don't want to deny her that joy,so as for me there's no quiet wedding even though I don't like it.
You don't want to deny her that joy? lipsrsealed Is it her wedding or yours?

Hehehe ..The reality is she is happier when you are in the right home and happy as well...DORIme wedding no dey guarantee happy home...Na understanding.

So if your man say na this type he can, you will quit? You won't be like this lady here with understanding? Smh

So which one can you do and leave the other
In Nigeria there only two marriage acts.
1: Customary marriage often called traditional marriage.
What constitutes this type of marriage (a) Bride price must be paid in full not a Kobo less, not my son go with my daughter, our concerns is to take proper care of her. Hence without bride price this marriage is invalid, and the bride will be handed over to the groom or any of his family member. Any other celebration or gifts are not taken into account, if you like buy an estate or an aeroplane for your in-law, if the marriage fails the groom can only be refunded the bride price.
(b) Parents consent is required.
(c) It can be conducted any time within 24 hours of a day, be it at midnight, or it's open to polygamy
And
Statutory marriage often called court wedding.
(a) Parents consent is not required.
(b) Bride price is not required.
(c) It must be conducted before official office closing hour, and within 90 days after filling due papers fully stamped documents, marriage vows should conducted by a registered marriage registrar, who must be a legal personel.
Any of the two is legal and binding before God and Man.,
(d) It does not allow polygamy.
(e) If any or either party marries without obtaining proper divorce, such party is liable to a prosecution of bigamy.
Remember any church or places that perform statutory marriage without been licensed to do so voids the marriage, ask your clergy whether your church is permitted and licensed to perform statutory marriage, for example after having gone to a marriage registrar and obtain necessary papers, you go to your pastor to administer the marriage vows, if the church place is not registered to perform such, your marriage is invalid by law.

Cool down, I didn't say I would ignore introduction or drag her to the altar without family consent... Just emphasizing what I prioritize...

To be honest, marriage with a non virgin Nigerian girl shouldn't be a thing of celebration.

Wise groom.

God bless him more.

Are you a virgin yourself?

Your faith is an imported culture.
Your tradition sustained your ancestors, therefore, made it possible for you to come to being.

Court wedding( registry) is greater than traditional wedding. Nothing likes church wedding in the eye of the law.
