Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by trollander247: 11:22pm On Feb 09, 2022 |
Email africa@centennialcollege.ca and go through them. Don't waste time with any online application. You will get faster response when you communicate directly with them via that email. If you go through the centennial college website very well, you will find that there are different contacts for admission for different region. africa@centennialcollege.ca is the one for our region. Omiinii: Thanks for sharing the note. It is definitely not as easy as many people think, but it will be better than Nigeria for most applicant. They just have to plan it well. Some programs are nothing but buzzwords that schools are hoping to cash in on. That is why you see a lot one year program flying everywhere. Your job is to make sure your program is sustainable, competitive, related to your goals and aspiration. No school will help you to look for job or even care that much after you graduate (expect you become a star or bilionaire and they need you to improve their public image or budget through donations). They will only give you the certificate and classroom knowledge you paid for. Make sure you get the best value for what you are going to pay for. 2 Likes |

Good day everyone, trust we are all doing fine. Pls, under my status, my review of eligibility says “your application is in process, we will message you when we start reviewing your eligibility”, does that means my eligibility hasn’t started? I’m August 28th applicant |

Chinnychappy: Masters in computer science is one of the most lucrative degrees right now, thanks to the growing power of computer technology, covid, and booming remote work and learning. Most 2 year masters have summer breaks. However, students often spend it writing their thesis or project. Considering how booming computer science is right now, I will focus on school and graduating rather than summer hustle. To give you an idea why this is the best time to graduate and enter job market, I know a candidate with about 4-years experience and msc computer science from Nigeria. He is rounding up his PhD in computer science in Canada. His supervisor was delaying his graduation and he became PR while waiting for his thesis defence. Since he is a PR, he focused on applying for professional jobs and got multiple offers over $130,000 per year. He finally accepted one of about $140k. In summary, get in and complete your program fast. Focus less on summer hustle, but feel free to do summer internship or student position in computer science related field and if allowed. This will give you the highly valuable canadian experience on your resume. The job market is till very favorable and sweet for your field. All the best. 4 Likes |

Hello Emeify1 Am not sure if you got a response already but let me add my bit. You can run 2 years advance diploma in Nursing related courses e.g pallitive care, critical care nursing etc, to your second question, Nope if you refer to diploma nursing graduate in Nigeria studying Bsc in Canada using Nigeria studies as edge, to the third Yes you can register and take NCLEX, it's a professional exam for International Nurses usable in UK, US, Canada, once you pass you can practice in those countries using your experinec as Nurse in Nigeria (UK requires IELTS, Canada will not if you can prove your language proficiency). There will always be an option to explore, either by Diploma in Nursing related courses or professional exams to help achieve your immigration dreams to Canada as a Nurse. Hope it helps emeify1: |

Osemigho: Wow! I perfectly understood everything you said. Thank you so much brother you deserve the best. I think I will go for SAIT but writing the SOP to make the VO. Understand might be little bit difficult but I'm sure with collective ideas it will work. The degree would it be called Bachelor degree or Applied Bachelor degree? And after successful completion of this program/degree would I be able to go for masters straight? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by blessingflow: 2:49am On Feb 10, 2022 |
Well, I think applying for both visas at entirely different times would have been better. Applying for Spouse Open Work Permit (SOWP) and visitors visa within thesame period of time may give the VO an impression that you wouldn't come back again. It shows some elements of desperation. But however, I so much believe in the grace of God. Wait for a decision to be taken as regards your SOWP application, then and then you would know the further steps to take. Kindly keep us informed on the outcome...it will end in your favor. Awas: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by technix: 3:57am On Feb 10, 2022 |
The easy way is to check each school, then department of your choice, then research area, then the professors working in the area. Some professors write on their personal websites when they are recruiting graduate students. Even if you don't see adverts on the websites, you can still reach out to them and express your interest. Often, when a professor accepts you, you will get funded by the professor or the department or both. gracelove82: |

What do you think about a 2years PGD course in Business Management-Human Resource? It has 4months Co-op. Someone mentioned on quora that more establishments in Canada will not hand over their HR department to a black man because they would feel the black can’t completely understand their work culture and laws?
