Joezinho:Nice lineup... though I'd prefer any of Onyekuru and Ejuke to start ahead of Simon...then Etebo in place of Onyeka |

mostob: andrewbaba44: Osimhen Dennis simon are fast... I only mentioned lookman due to his speed and the goal he scored against Liverpool.. If S.E uses Dennis and Simon on the wings then S.E will need "like for like" replacement and lookman can replace Simon or Dennis and be drifting into the box to score.. S.E needs wingers that can score .. Mane is a winger at Liverpool but a striker or drifts into striking positions for Senegal most times and Liverpool Salah is also a winger that drifts into striking positions or plays striker for Egypt.. That's if lookman plays for the S.E and if lookman doesn't play then Okereke, onyekuru, Amoo, Ejuke, dessers, Samuel adegbenro can also replace him. 1 Like |

mostob: The problem with Ndidi and Etebo playing in the midfield is that their passing is very poor (Etebo is really about extremely short passes Abeg give me, I go give you back type of passes.) and puts a lot of pressure for the attack on whoever plays the AM role in front. Eguaveon used the wings as an outlet mostly because we lacked midfield creativity(of which onyeka would have been a better option) and passing and the Tunisians smartly shut it down. Joe Aribo didn't play any match at the AFCON as an AM but even from deep he put Osimhen through with a beautiful pass against Liberia. Ejuke? It was a mystery that Eguveon kept Ejuke nailed to the bench at the AFCON and didn't even include him in the bench against Tunisia !! Eguaveon sins plenty abeg. Nigeria failed in this last AFCON competition and i pray they adjust to beat Ghana. |

caprikon: If you get to meet Chris Houghton ,his integrity is UNQUESTIONABLE his wisdom as a Father figure unmatched. His honesty and players compassion will make you as a player want to adopt him as your Father. He will give Ghana so much self belief and motivation but based in sound planning and strategy. In all honesty in terms of Football technical understanding and knowledge our technical crew are not ahead of him in any way or shape. We will win this game based on the best team selection and a very hard working Midfield. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Nigeria international Samson Tijani has revealed what convinced him to join Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg in the summer of 2020. The defensive midfielder's next career step was hot topic in these parts after putting himself in the shop window at the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil, where he scored a brace in Nigeria's opening day win versus Hungary. At youth level, Tijani first rose to prominence at the WAFU Zone B U17 AFCON qualifiers, winning the Most Valuable Player award. The likes of Manchester City, Anderlecht, Racing Genk and Atletico Madrid were among the teams credited with an interest in the Collins Edwin Sports Club product before he got a call from Red Bull Salzburg. The former Golden Eaglets captain was convinced that Red Bull Salzburg was the best club for him mainly due to the exploits of Erling Braut Haaland at Die Roten Bullen. "After the World Cup I was 'okay, what's the next step?'. There were all kinds of rumours about this club and that club," Tijani said to Red Bull's YouTube channel. "Finally I was contacted by Red Bull. I knew about them, but didn't really know at first how big they are. "I looked through the profile of the club and everything and thought, 'okay I think they will be good for me'. "Haaland was at the top, that was in 2019. I thought I'd like to take this step". Tijani has been registered for the knockout rounds of the UEFA Champions League after impressing first team boss Matthias Jaissle at the winter training camp. |

Joezinho: I would probably go with Dennis as our front man, he has more football intelligence and is much more unpredictable and skilfull. Depending on how things work bring in either Victor or Ighalo later on. Victor is very good but also is his aggressive style of play is predictable, which may not work against Ghana. I would like to see Moses Simon on the wing, I wish he could cross because then it would be a great option for Victor who has strong Aerial threat. But alas all our current wingers are very poor at crossing the ball. Among our wing backs the only one that can cross is Aina. However, if Chris convinces Salisu to play for Ghana let me be honest WAHALA deh. None of our CBs is as good as him. If the NFF finally complete Ademola Lookman change of allegiance application then we have a good option who can cross the ball properly. There are a lot IF's, so it's difficult to make projections. 2 Likes 1 Share |

komekn: A lot of mention has been made about his humility. The fact the has coached youth teams in the past could mean he is likely to be patient in rebuilding this Ghana team which has a number of young players coming through. Hughton's usually sets his team up in a 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 which mirrors Eguavoen's preferred setup though he has also used the 4-3-3 recently. I also believe the midfield battle would be key. Our 4-4-2 setup in the last AFCON left us lean in central areas making us susceptible to swift counter attacks. I am expecting a tactical tweak for the tie. |

mostob: S.E needs a midfield of 3. Aribo/iwobi/nwakwali for attacking midfield then Ndidi and Onyeka or Bonke or tijani must start.. Ndidi is over stressed in the midfield and he needs to be able pass the ball to another in midfield. Using only two midfielders means over reliance on the wings. S.E played better against Tunisia when iwobi came on. So it's either Aribo and another attacking midfielder starts and Ndidi starts. or Aribo starts and Ndidi starts and onyeka or Bonke or tijani starts. In summary. Two A.Ms and one D.M Or One A.M and two D.Ms with one of the D.Ms playing as a central midfielder. 2 Likes |

andrewbaba44: Thank you I do not believe one is better than the other. I do not care for either of them. Based on European statistics, Onuachu will clearly edge out Sadiq, if we are being honest. On no metric will Sadiq edge out Onuachu. None at all However, the both of them are the same thing to me. You cannot even play them together, that is how alike they are. Either one or the other, but same thing as far as the Nigerian team is concerned. 1 Like |
