That's not true, Tolkien middle Earth is deeply based on Ancient European folklore and Norse mythology,the names and elven languages are based on European origin and during that period there were little or no dark skinned people around.
It has nothing to do with the time it was written,if they want major black characters in LOTR,they should do it the right way.

Since they want to do the whole representation shit,they should give us Asian Hobbits and just so you know Dark Elves in Middle Earth were not stated to be dark skinned,they were called dark elves because they refused to go into the west.

Season 2 premier date hasn't been confirmed and it's already been renewed for season 3.
Remember that even before the season 1 was aired, they already confirmed it for season 2.
One thing you guys ain't aware of is that even before any series takes a nod to air on any television networks.
The big spenders, the people responsible for all the big budgets had already seen and watched all episodes so they are aware of what they spent their money on.
For the big spenders to give a nod on season 2 even before season 1 was premiered and already give a nod for season 3 just two months after season 1 ended, it shows that They are not Only excited to invest on the show, it shows they are more than willing to see the show run.
Do you know why?
It is because most of them had already seen few episodes of season 2 like 1 to 3 episodes and they already seen the blue print of the whole Series and They were like!!! Damm!!! We are renewing this project for season 3.
And i tell you, immediately season 2 starts, the wheels of time will be renewed for season 4 and five.
So don't come on here on nairaland trying to talk shiit about a show you have no idea what's coming.
You don't know what the big spenders have seen for them to have ordered for season 3 so why not keep shut your mouth and calm your hate.
The wheel of Time season 1 is just an introduction, wait till season 2 with a bigger budget and see why they renewed it for season 3.
The wheel of Time is in a league of it's own and it's no body's mate.
I don't care about the upcoming games of thrones or the upcoming Lord of the rings.
For now, the wheel of Time is the above all of them.
You all hyping this Series, should start talking when it's been renewed for season 2.
Can't you see the wheel of Time is giving the lords of the rings and the game of thrones a run for their money?
Even the game of thrones doesn't have an air date yet because deep down they knew the wheel of Time season 2 is coming back by December this year.

I have always say this, don't come on here bashing the wheel of Time for a series that hasn't aired because over hyping can disappoint.
I am not saying the lord of the rings series will be a flop or upcoming games of thrones, all i am saying is that the wheel of Time is a Boss on its own and that's a fact.

By now the big spenders must have already seen few episodes of the lords of the rings and the upcoming games of thrones, let them order for a second season if they are 100% confident of these two big projects like in the case of the wheels of time.
