We ask for good things from the government but when one good thing come from the government we will be the one to destroy it.

And we will be the one comparing our country with other countries as if our government is not trying at all.

I will disagree with you. Humans everywhere on the globe have an inclination to do evil but the measure of deterrence put in place by The State keeps them at bay. There are more than enough NSCDC personnel to protect railway assets. The NRC run by the Colonialists did that effectively.

Indeed.

How Nigerians came to view themselves as especially deviant compared to the rest of the world is truly more baffling to me than the nature of existence.

I wonder ooo! The other day a European expat friend of mine told me he would rather spend his vacation in Nigeria than travel home. I asked to know the reason for such decision. His response was that the level of mafiosi violent crime in his European home country made Nigeria a better option!!

Those responsible for making Nigerians believe that they are Especially bad people today, shouldn't complain when Nigerians begin to view themselves as a Special Breed of Peoples' tomorrow, different and better than other Africans.

Where do you suppose our politicians, civil servants and others are drawn from?

Nigeria is blessed with virtually everything, including criminality.
Our government is just a reflection of our society.

The health of a nation can only be good as the health of the family.

Trash!! Absolute trash.
This is not the work of vandals. No vandal will dismantle rail tracks just to leave the parts around for the technicians to put back.
Those rails are chinko made and such things are not usually of the highest quality. I suspect the track bolts went loose.
And it's unfortunate some zombies are already using this as an excuse to justify bad government as if countries that are developed have only good citizens
