I’m 44 years now and I’ve not witness 24 hours power supply. I’ve lived in Lagos all tru my life. The worst now is where I live at Idimu. How do I enjoy my mother land in my life time.

It’s not in our destiny.

Offshore plants supply small communities twenty-four hour power supply and the idiots choose to destroy the facilities in an attempt to collect money instead.

We have coal deposits in the east. Why the government has not decided on implementing the resource for power supply like developed nations do will always keep me awake at night.

Because, since the inception of this country called Nigeria, no single person is sincere to lead this country without selfish gains and no body has ever been brought to books for corruption charges in Nigeria which gives room for embezzlement of huge loans taken and still taking so far to give us steady power electricity supply.

It shall continue like this till we have someone that's ready to serve the people and not his family and cronnies and such person is not born yet in Nigeria.

Because it wants to manufacture planes. Can you imagine the pipe? A country without roads and stable electricity wants to start manufacturing planes.

I weep for this country called Nigeria. Was at the filling station today, see Jericans for Generator were more than 100. That’s Y filling stations are everywhere in the neighborhood. Most ministers and Govt officials get filling stations so they will fight hard to put us in this terrible condition.

Nigeria's problem has nothing to do with the government and it has nothing to do with the electricity company the major problem is the Nigerian people are illiterate and stupid they will only vote for a criminal. All over the world Nigeria will only vote and follow a criminal or somebody which can do nothing for them go to Europe and America you will see Nigerian supporting. Just look at America there are three Nigerian senators the rejection of Nigerian visas to America is between 70 to 85% what what is the use of having three senators which can do nothing in America. The biggest problem with Nigeria is illiteracy we know a Nigerian can do nothing but will still go and vote and follow in Nigeria because we are illiterate

We are a broke nation ...for a country of 120 million people u need an investment of at least $100 billion in the power sector to provide stable electricity

I have said this it is illiteracy we go and build power stations in the middle of the Desert and realised there is no water to run the power station a good example, look at mambilla power station since the 1970s we have been trying to build it one government after another the truth of the matter water. Was supposed to be 5000 megawatt but because of lack of water it has been reduced to less than 1,000 megawatt illiteracy is a problem

By your unique definition of illiteracy, you're the one that's illiterate here.

because of water, it's been reduced to 1,000MW?

Nigerians won’t pay for it.. Nigerians pay electricity employees to bypass prepaid meter..
No sane company will invest in a business without expecting a return in investment…
We don’t have the money or the political will to make it work without foreign investors.
Foreign investors need guarantees on their money.

Why?
Re: Why Can’t Nigeria Have Steady Electricity? by harmargedon: 9:38pm On Feb 17, 2022
Steady electricity means:
No more importation of generators, which in turn means zero businesses for those importing it.

Reduced consumption of Fuel/diesel, which means business will be down for fuel suppliers and sellers.

Generator servicing companies and persons will go out of business.

Unemployment rate will double because these companies will lay off most of its staff.

The country will run low on cash because there would be little or no revenue generated from these companies.

Now you see why we cannot have steady electricity, these guys above will do everything, bribe included to ensure that power fails always.
