Ketima: TYSM for your response. Yes the pay is monthly. As advised I'll shift focus to early 2023. Any idea of schools with high intake rate for Nigerians? I grad'ed with a 1:1 if there's anything like that and looking for a software dev related course or data science as second choice. Thanks! 2 Likes |

If he still has a valid study permit or postgraduate work permit between that period, he can work full time because it's summer. 19CannyMum: 1 Like |

Hi guys, I am new here. Please I need advise on what to do as I currently gained admission into Nova Scotia Community College to study Cyber security. My background is Chemical Engineering but I've been working in Information Technology for over 10 years and would love to get a diploma in Cyber security hence the choice of study. I am in the process of gathering my POF but would want to know if my sister in law can act as a sponsor. I have a sister in law who is in Canada via PR. Is she qualified as a sponsor? I already have about 10k USD in my dorm account. Fees for a year is 11k CAD. Already paid acceptance fee of 1000CAD. I've been sent the document to start my study permit application by the school as well as admission letter. I am married with 3 kids and have a parcel of land. Please what are my chances and would appreciate advise from the gurus. Also, what are the documents needed for me to submit a successful application? School resumes in September this year. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Naheem4real: It's not a red flag. Kindly do 10,000 cad GIC from the fund if you can. After tuition and gic. Officer will have no concern about lump sum. And your application response time will be faster. Please mention it atleast 5 times in your SOP that you've paid your fees . It's a keyword . 3 Likes |

CanadaNomad: Which one is 1:1? You mean you graduated with low 1st class or what? Or are your referring to class of degree below 3rd class? Unless you mean pass which is around 1.0+ CGPA. In such case, advanced Diploma or PGD (if lucky enough) is your best bet. Note that schools deal on merit not on quota system for international students. So if you merit it( be among the best) and surpass the admission requirements, you will surely get it. |

Ketima: By that, I meant a first class. I'm sorry to pour unrelevant information here. It's just that I was very conversant with the app process, guidelines etc al for Canadian study Visa, but I kinda phased out and focused on other stuffs. Thanks for always responding. |

With a first class, I would advise you start contacting supervisors, you have a high chance of getting funded. Just prepare your CV well and write a good cold email. But if you just want to apply without considering scholarship opportunities, I think you have a chance in any Canadian university. Just work on a good SOP. CanadaNomad: |

Your choice of study is fine since it is related to your work experience. Ensure you submit an employment letter, reference letter from the employer, payslips and work ID. Yes, your sister-in-law in Canada can sponsor you. Submit proof of relationship—marriage certificate and birth cert of your sibling. If your spouse and kids are not travelling with you, they are strong home ties. MikkeyP: 1 Like |

Hello guys. God bless you guys for help and all. My name is Johnson. I applied for a sch in Nova scotia. I finished with second class lower in 2019 and i applied for master of applied economics im a school in nova scotia. Mount saint vincent university. I was offered an admission around February 18th 2021 for fall admission. I immediately started my visa processing i submitted my application around april and i was told to go for my biometrics in May which i did. Then. I didn't hear anything from them. I lost my phone and i couldn't access my portal. I tried reseting my password but it was bringing out error. I raised several webform. After several attempts, i was able to access my portal in December 27 2021. I saw a message that i should go for medical, which i did. But for that time. I didn't inform the sch i lost my phone and the university has withdrawn me from their sch. I paid 8000 cad part of my tuition fees . I got a mail from the school that have been withdrawn . I was told to reapply. I explained what happened to them but they said i should reapply and they won't refund the part of the sch fees i paid. I immediately reapply and i was issued 2022 fall admission letter. I submitted that with my passport and it got stamped but i saw a letter on my portal. The arrival date missing but on my passport my visa expires next year December. Pls i have been trying to secure another admission but i want to get to canada first b4 informing ircc. My questions are, 1. can i change it when i get to canada 2. Must it be in the same nova scotia Also wen can i travel to Canada since the date is missing there. Good Evening Guys, Please All shld kindly help me out on this question. I plan on applying to Canadian University (University of Manitoba) this year. Though it my first time of applying to a CAD University. I already graduated with my B.sc and have more than 2 years working experience, but I plan on applying as an undergraduate again because I graduated with 2.2(Sec Class Lower), chances of getting Scholarship for a 2.2. graduate is minimal. But as I was scrolling through the University website, I am having issues picking between Advanced entry and Direct Entry. Advanced entry requires more than 24credit hours of Post-Sec School while Direct Entry requires Fewer than 24 Credit hours of Post Sec-School. I don't know the type I should choose that can match My Waec Result, because I plan on using my Waec Result. I am 22years, also when applying for the visa, shld I apply for Study and work permit or only Study, in as much as I have working experience in a Big Company. My B.sc Course that I read in Nigeria is (Computer Science), so I plan on applying for a Business Analysis or Data Analysis in the Canadian University. Kindly help me out, Palz Thanks |

E-FORM A The E-FORM A is a new development from the Central Bank of Nigeria to replace the old paper based Form A that was previously in use (If you have made school fees payment through the Bank in the past, the Form A was one of the forms you filled and submitted alongside other documents). The FORM A (either E-based or paper based) is a requisite document for making Foreign payments through the Nigerian Banking System. The form comes with a UNIQUE Reference number that is generated with your application. So this new development means you do not have to visit the Bank physically to initiate your school fees or other invisible remittance payments(medical bills, PTA/BTA, Subscription payment, foreign consultancy payments e.t.c.) It’s like filling an online form. STEPS 1. Visit the website tradesystem.gov.ng 2. On successful loading of the website click on Applicant 3. You will see a page to login in with your username and password. Before you can login, down the page, you will see an option for “Register now”. For first time users, you will have to register using your BVN (Biometric Verification Number). P.S: Your BVN profile must carry an accessible email and phone number which will receive an One Time Password (OTP) to complete your registration. If the email or phone number on your BVN is not accessible, you’ll need to visit the Bank (not necessarily Bank branch) where you enrolled for your BVN to update your phone number and email. One of the document you’ll require may include a court affidavit. 4. You will be required to fill in different information to complete your application. If you’re making payment for schools fees, the following documents in soft copies are required to be uploaded on the portal; 1. Passport Biodata page 2. Undergraduate Certificate(If application is for M.Sc degree school fees payment) 3. Letter of offer of Admission 4. Payment Advise from the institution (stating the bank details of the institution and tuition amount). 5. There are 4 sections to be completed when filling this E-Form A. Section 1: Applicant Information Section 2: Trade Services Section 3: Bank Details (Here you input the Bank details of the school you’re paying to, these details will be on the payment advise sent to you by the school) Section 4: Attachments (Ensure to upload all the documents listed above, maximum file size per document is 2MB) Section 5: Preview Form Some answers to some information requested on the portal under the Trade Services Section of the Application. a. Is Valid for Forex: Choose Yes b. Trade Category: Educational Services (For those making school fees payment) c. Transaction purpose: Postgraduate Studies d. Tick educational fees 5. Select preferred financial Institution and branch for processing. It is advisable to choose a branch of the Bank closest to you, just in case you need to visit the Bank for follow up with copies of your documents just in case. 6. Preview form and submit. This process is relatively new, so a lot of Banks are still trying to grasps it, so it’s advisable that once you’ve completed the application online, visit the bank branch that you chose to follow up and ensure that the branch has received and acted on your request. Also not all bank branches have been profiled on the platform yet, so you may not see the branch closest to you, it’s also understandable. Upon receipt of your application, the Bank will process based on availability of Forex (Foreign exchange). The Banks receive weekly, a certain amount of allocation of Forex from CBN. So requests are processed on first come first serve basis based on the available Forex. So it is advisable that you initiate your school fees payment at least two weeks before the deadline.
