Suppose the name arrangements on your NIN details does not correspond with the one on your international passport, will you be able to renew based on the name arrangements on the existing passport OR they'd want you to renew based on your name arrangements on your NIN doc.?! Eg. NIN : AWOYINKA Segun Daniel ; PASSPORT(expired) AWOYINKA Daniel Segun. Will there be any issue while trying to renew ?!

I have it already. I was told that to arrange names on a passport renewal , it will cost like #150k thereabout , then i will have to be present in Abuja(FCT) for capturing.. This is big time punishment.

In a state like Lagos that has about 3 passport offices , could have been empowered with such powers to make corrections. Everything doesn't have to be in FCT.

I paid this Saturday because I heard NIN as fixed their portals.

My appointment date is March 10.

MY QUESTION IS;

1. On the day of the appointment, will they capture me on that day or I will have another appointment for capturing?

2. Has anyone try DIY route to obtain lost passport recently.

The new rule in alausa is that you must capture on your chosen date even if it is 6pm or you will be asked to reschedule

I finally collected my passport from the Abeokuta immigration office.

Date captured: 27th August 2021
Mode: strictly DIY

My long wait finally paid off....

The options opened to you are:
1. Apply for your passport renewal. Submit your application and you may be fortunate to have the inspecting officer overlook the order in which your first & middle names are arranged on the NIN.
It's a gamble though & chance is 50-50.

2. You can apply to the NIN office in your locality for name modification. It only costs N500 (payable via Remita) with a copy of your affidavit (Take the original copy along for sighting).
It takes about 1 week for the correction to be effected by NIMC.

After, you can attach the corrected NIN slip to your passport renewal application.

Trying to print the guarantor form and this is the error message I'm getting when I fill my application and reference number

I captured September 15th
Got a text on 11th of Feb

FYI - for aspiring passportians please avoid osogbo passport office at all cost.

I lost 3 admissions

it is just scam. Name modification total is 56k … name arrangement oh, not change of name in male

Firstly, the date of birth on my Nin is one year ahead of my real age, because of the long time processing of the correction(heard it might take up to a year), when registering for the declaration of age, should I use my real age or the one on my nin.

Secondly, for the state of origin, I don’t have, I’m from Bornu(my father), but based here in the west and I can’t go home for it, will an affidavit suffice, if not, what else can I do regarding that?

go to your liason office. If other documents of yours carry your correct dob, why dont u just correct it on the nin. Dob correction is 15k. Pay through the portal

You do not get invited. You simply book an appointment from https://appointments.immigration.gov.ng/

I went online and checked. I saw renewal for 10years official price is 70k while that of a minor was 26k. But my problem is how do I get an appointment in a corruption ridden place like Portharcourt. The guys at their office are asking for 120k for 64pages 10years and 50k for a minors passport.

Oh, Ok, thanks for your reply, I heard the wait time for the correction is more than a year as only the Md can approve it and I don’t have enough to fast track it, I’ll just check out the liaison office.
