TittyLover: Why don’t you go for your Upfront medical instead of you waiting for medical request. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by MzGiwa: 11:54pm On Feb 13, 2022 |
Please note that I have read the thread from the beginning even read many of the previous threads but I still don’t quite understand how to proceed in my situation. The situation: I am currently in the UK with my family on study visa but my hubby says that’s he wants to apply for Canada study visa against winter 2023. I’ll be done with my studies jan 2023 and our visa would expire by May if we don’t apply for PSWV . My questions: Can hubby apply for study visa with us dependent ( I have a child) or should hubby apply alone then we join later ? If we all apply together would be VO not be concerned about home ties? Hubby would be 34 is that too old for MSc? For POF can hubby use his account in UK or he has to use Naira account since we hold Nigerian passports? Please I’d appreciate if someone can respond to these |

It means you will have to wait for an update from IRCC.. And if you cant wait for Medical request from IRCC , then go ahead with an Upfront Medicals.. Peace TittyLover: |

dikadubai: You only need 1 year to apply for PR through EE. Your thinking is correct. However there is also something called provincial nomination with which you can do EE, and I suspect those programs won't qualify you for PNP. Just sharing my own findings from my research. Otherwise they seem an excellent program and it appears that admission is virtually automatic (pay and get admission letter lol) |

WiZiggy: Hello WiZiggy, Sorry for the delay from the bank. As regards the bolded, I'm not sure it is that. Most of these banks with large customer base tends to delay in processing Form A. So as others said, you have to go back to the bank today and inform them of the deadline and need to get it done today. All the best 1 Like 1 Share |

Good morning, friends! Thanks to everyone/gurus for taking time to share and educate us - the newbies. I need advice: - My spouse has been offered admission in university of Regina. Fall 2022 - Annual tuition is approximately $20,500 (B.Ed) - Class resume end of August, 2022. - Required tuition deposit of $500 - Yet to apply for study permit and visa, pending reply/response from the house. - Spouse intend to leave with 3 kids same time. - I will also be applying for visitor's visa to accompany, settle them, before returning to my regular work in Nigeria. Please, can our learned friends advice me if i should apply for everyone at the same time; or defer the kid's application till the mother secures her visa?[sup][/sup] Query |

MzGiwa: Hello MzGiwa, As regards to applying from UK, while some have applied from countries other than their country of birth and have gotten study permits, some have also faced challenges. Can't pin point, but we have had someone here apply from Germany after completing studies and was successful and another person from turkey or so but wasn't. I guess maybe status of the person in that country played vial role. But then, if an application is well packaged, noting is impossible. As for hubby's age, lol. Someone of 40yrs got permit for Diploma ( not even PGD) and here you're talking about 34 for Msc. He is over qualified in terms of age for the stage of degree he sorts. One of the reasons VO's look at is home ties to country of birth. Hope you all have some socio economic home ties that can help in your application? Because as regards family ties (immediate family ties) to country, you guys don't have it except for extended family ties (parents/siblings). Let him include his Nigeria account in showing money for POF. It will help in playing 2 roles, 1) show he has money 2) show that even though he is in the UK, he was still sending money home(financial ties back home). Unless the money in home country account is meager. |

Hi, I have been reading through this page and noticed the delay some people are having in their study permit. What then happens to the admission? Are they allowed to defer the admission until they are given the study permit? |

Good morning nairalanders. I hope we had a good night rest. May this week favour us. Please i deferred my admission and the school send me another acceptance letter. Should I upload that on my IRCC using Webform or it isn't necessary? Please kindly offer feedback, thank you 1 Like |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by YinksXO: 7:18am On Feb 14, 2022 |
Hello, 1) I will suggest you go ahead to open IRCC account for her, either using the new portal or GC key and answer the questionnaire, once you've done that if a custodian letter is required by IRCC, a placeholder will be available for it and you can then go ahead to get it. 2) Since you have a valid visit visa, you can accompany her, I don't believe there's need to include that in her application. Make sure yours is a return ticket so that at port of entry, you can show that you're returning to Nigeria once she's settled in. Tcrown2020: |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Ketima: 8:11am On Feb 14, 2022 |
Kidsister13: Hello Kidsister13, How long is your application? Sending it right away is the best practice. But we know that any new document sent to like POF, LOA etc will require another evaluation and verification. So I (my opinion) can advice that you should wait on a little and see if IRCC will request for it. If not, then you send it. Note it that if IRCC is at the stage of approving an application, they won't reject it because the applicants resumption date is too close. Instead, they will request for updated LOA. Likewise if an application is heading to rejection, they won't change mind if the applicant sends in an updated LOA. All the best 1 Like |

mimini: Hello Mimini, We all should know that lumpsum isn't an issue so long as it will be properly explained that it isn't for demonstration purpose and prove provided on how it came about. Else, I think you may need to ask this question privately to get private answer that may not be for public view. |
