komekn: I am beginning to doubt you. You talk like someone totally oblivious to the reality of football. As in, for someone who claims to know the ins and outs of football, you should not make such atrocious statement. Make luck in football. Sometimes you get overwhelmed in football. Please, somethings are beyond your power. Ask Riquelme who flopped at Barcelona. 1 Like |

The Nigeria Football Federation have revealed that the governing body of football, Fifa approved Ademola Lookman's change of association request from England to Nigeria within 24 hours. A dual citizen of England, where he was born, and Nigeria, the country his parents originally hail from, Lookman receiving a one-time change of association approval from Fifa has cleared the way for the winger to make his senior debut in the coming weeks. A 2017 U20 World Cup winner with the Young Lions, Lookman has also played competitive matches for England at U19 and U21 levels. The Leicester City winger represented his country of birth at the 2016 European U19 Championship and U21 Euro qualifiers. Lookman was part of the England U20 squad that thrashed the Golden Eaglets 8-1 in the Suwon Continental Cup in November 2016. NFF General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi has praised Fifa for the record-time approval granted the fresh application by the Federation with regards to Lookman's one-time switch. "We sent in the application on Wednesday night after putting all the necessary documentation together. We are happy to receive the approval today," Sanusi said on Thursday, according to a press release by the Nigerian Federation. Lookman was in the plans of former Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr and it remains to be seen if he is called up by interim boss Augustine Eguavoen for next month's 2022 World Cup playoff matches with regional rivals Ghana. |

Newcastle and Leeds are watching Nantes winger Moses Simon this season. The French Ligue 1 side are asking for £20million for the 26-year-old, says the Shields Gazette. The Saudi-backed Magpies are the favourites for Simon's signature due to their ability to offer higher wages than Leeds. He is claimed to be asking for £100,000 a week for his next contract and this is not a wage that the Whites would want to sanction other than for a star player. 3 Likes |

13large: There is nothing outstanding about Aribo in midfield, except if you are talking about the attacking areas of the midfield which he shows more potential for brilliance, even though we are yet to see him there. Our midfield maintains It's identity as a defensive one, with little control and creativity. How is this so difficult to see. Aribo is a good player with good first touch and good work rate, these made it a bit difficult to spot gaping deficiencies in his midfield shows. Whenever the tactics calls for a box to box midfielder i will pick Etebo over Aribo in central midfield. The Etebo i saw in the EPL before his injury seems like he is evolving into a complete box to box midfielder. 1 Like 1 Share |

Journalist Pete O'Rourke considers Joe Aribo Glasgow Rangers standout player so far in the ongoing campaign. There has been a lot of talk about the future of Aribo as his contract runs out at the end of the 2022-2023 season. It is believed that the Nigeria international is winding down his stint at the Scottish Premiership champions as a move to the Premier League is on the cards in the summer transfer window. Crystal Palace have been strongly linked with a move for the left-footed midfield maestro as a replacement for Conor Gallagher who is expected to return to parent club Chelsea at the end of the season. Various reports have suggested that the Light Blues have placed a price tag of at least ten million pounds (approximately N5.6 billion) on Aribo, a tidy profit considering that the central midfielder arrived in 2019 for 300,000 pounds. Pete O'Rourke thinks the former Charlton Athletic ace is worth every penny as his performances with Rangers have been eye-catching. "Yeah, it sounds like a decent price if you can get him for around £10 million. For me, he’s probably been Rangers’ best player this season," he told Givemesport. Crystal Palace are not the only Premier League club interested in Aribo with Brentford and Watford also confirmed to be mulling over a move for the 25-year-old. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: Because you are not privy to have worked with a professional football clubs in Europe. You have no idea about how things work. Once you are contracted the club must pay you unless you breach your contract terms. They can decide not to play you but they will still have to pay you. When you go on a international tournament and before you return your club is openly trying to offload you. What in your understanding of football management, if you have any , does that tell you ❓ 1 Like |

charlesemeka85: I have dealt with so many different departments state and federal level in Nigeria and unfortunately they all have varying degrees of crass ineptitude and Incompetence. Why should we think the NFF will be any different. Although I personally think it was wilful and intended delay. It has taken the NFF three years to put together the documentation for Ademola change of allegiance. And some here think it's the players fault. The NFF first gave the impression the English FA was causing delays. There own reasoning just doesn't make sense. Ademola Lookman will not say anything but just keep quite, for obvious reasons. 1 Like |
