Ok I will play along. Kenya has hydrocarbons, a few hundred barrels of oil here and there. We had an underground methane leak once, blessed in gas also it seems. Does that answer your question genius?
if it answers yours, we're cool. wink

u could've said "NO, WE DONT HAVE OIL" or "YES, WE HAVE OIL BUT......." instead of this.

You see what we mean when we say u Kenya's feel inferior a lot.

Am sorry but why should I humour a troll? I think my response was sufficient.

indeed they don't fail.. now look at these records since 2017 and tell me the institution didn't have what it takes to handle 400 students.. for example, 500 students were admitted in 2017 and 128 in 2019.. so when you talk capacity then it make no sense cos the same whatever that took care of 500 students in 2017 have no reason to do less than half of that 2yrs later

i wonder if you understand capacity to handle intake each year.... Those capacity drops or increase per year..

As was revealed this year.... More students pass the entrance exams than are admitted and this fact is the same for each year the exams is taken.

Whether 2012, 2014, 2017,19,20 or 2021

Lagos could do with better airport if - not three more airports. Why does Abuja need brand new airport - and all the whistles. Nigeria need to feed the cow that produce the milk (Lagos) - and leave the Fulani cow of Abuja to roam the streets.

Mumu,Lagos now has a new international terminal. And this Abuja terminal aint new,it’s been I think 3 years so far. All this bubu achieved in such little time.

Abuja is the seat of power and should spot better infrastructures than Lagos.
But due to the federal system of Govt, every state has something unique that other states don't have. We develop all part of the country, unlike most African countries doing one city development.

Obaboon, every broken clock is right twice everyday. You're right - kenyans are of course less productive Morrocos. I dont think that has ever been an argument. We are also 3-4 times less productive than South Africans. The argument is when we compare Kenya and Nigeria. We disagree that Nigerians are more productive than us. More naturally endowed with minerals yes - but more efficient and productive - hell NO.
obaaderemi:
Thank you, RIP2008 for being honest for once in your life.

So in essence, you admit that Kenyans are not productive. If you were productive enough, then a country like Morocco which itself is an economic backwater, should not have a bigger GDP than Kenya with 50million people. Mind you, Morocco has a population of just 30m.
If your stvpid Kikuyu masters had been smart enough, you wouldn't be struggling against an unstable dirt poor Ethiopia in terms of GDP.

So then what indices suggests Kenyans are more productive than Nigeria? grin.
Do the comparison of both private sectors and all forms of industries and let's see. You are also less endowed with minerals than many countries in Africa like Congo and Angola right? Bring up the facts, and make it make sense.
Let's take for instance the Industry including construction value added, % of GDP. Nigeria is 25.7% and Kenya is 16.4%.
As for having more resources, it's possible to have resources, and not have enough of the indigenous private sectors taking advantage of those resources. This is why you have a bigger GDP than Congo, Gabon, Angola, Libya etc despite the resources in those countries.

We have been doing this for six years now. Read this thread backward then jump into 10k pages. It rather obvious that Nigeria GDP is overstimated and should be roughly twice kenya - about 200B - not 400B.

I was on this thread in 2018 and I'm back here. If I had seen a convincing evidence, I would admit no kidding. There is nothing to show Kenya is more productive than Nigeria, even if you focus on only the non oil sector.

Equity Bank continues to rise!

Incredibly, in the two years of Covid, Equity doubled its balance sheet from Ksh600 billion ($5.3 billion) to Ksh1.3 trillion ($11.4 billion).

Remove the patriotic blinkers and it staring at you.
Name any index - you're at best equal to Kenya or twice.
Total Bank asset - 110B dollars - versus 55B.
Cement consumption - 18-21 - versus 8-10m tonnes
The stuff you cannot rig like estimating agriculture - you're again at best twice as big as kenya.
In many areas your economy is below kenya -
Give and take - your economy is about 200-220B - not 400B.

Huge population as arguement wouldn't make sense in this instance because we are talking % of GDP here. If anything it should favour Kenya in this instance.

We are talking percentage of the so called overestimated GDP. Even by exports as a percentage of GDP, we are higher. By PMI (which is used to check manufacturing growth), we are better on average. Lagos alone with about 30 million people has almost thesame number of registered companies as the entire Kenya. So definitely, I don't know what this thread is all about and where the pride comes from. It's not even an arguement, not even close.
Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by rvp20182: 9:37am On Feb 16, 2022
Huge population only applies per-capita wise arguements
When we consider Nigeria economy as whole - it rather obvious - it primitive informal sector driven - plus OIL sector.
That is all.
Kenya is zero mineral and very strong private sector - only second to South Afirca in Sub-Sahara.
Kenya private formal sector literally run the Eastern and now even part of Central & South Africa.
