And they should be the ones communicating with people because they act on behalf of UKVI, they are the ones sending rebates forms for people to fill for a refund , so why can't they respond on the status of the refund instead of sending an automated message and then after a week or so, they will send another automated message that an agent has responded and then close the enquiry even though no one spoke to you about anything. How is this fraudulent behavior ok?

Why is the option available for payment in the first place, I find that misleading on the side of the company. If you pull a service via an announcement or something, best pull it from your site services so no one can buy it..

If you are still in Nigeria you can go to TLS office to ask how you can go about it or if there is a different email to contact them on such issue or call them.

TLS said asked us apply through them, they gave us their refund email address, we mailed them, they responded with a form to fill all your details for the refund including your account details, we did and they haven't replied again since first week of December last year, if you mail them, they send another refund form to fill and after a week they send you another mail that a customer agent has spoken to you and thus your enquiry is closed when no one has spoken to you. It's not the same as the post office analogy, the a post office don't ask you to apply for your refund through them, send you forms to fill and then claim every day that they have responded to your enquiries anytime you ask them for a status update when they wouldnt been assed enough to respond.

It's about them not even bothering to respond to people’s enquiries for two whole months that's pissing me off and the fact that they can't do that here. I have asked a lot of people that applied that same period they are all getting the same treatment .

I think the HRGuy and Justwise have given you a clue regarding this matter.
It is probably not TLS sitting on your refund, e fit be UKVI itself, given that TLS no go collect money wey UKVI no say make them collect, and any money they collect for all those priority and the rest na still UKVI dem go go give am.

Check and see if the bank where you receive your salary will give you one.
As you don dey UK for some time now, apply in your bank app, walking in to your branch na when you never really dey UK for long (less than a year or so, depending) and applying in the app will most likely mean a bouncing.

You should start applying now if you are looking for grad roles. Most of the companies offering grad roles usually recruit for starting about a year after. My advice is to apply for as many jobs as possible. Do not get discouraged if you get a rejection, learn from it and move on. Check gradcrackers for roles. Also, spread your search. Go for both big organisations and small organisations. Be relentless and make applying for jobs as important as your course work and you will surely get a job. Also, work on your CVs, learn how to write cover letters, have several examples for competency questions, learn how to do telephone and video interview, research about assessment centres and pray for favour.

Regarding schools, you might need to keep calling the council to ensure they are considering your application for a school place. You will need to go to shops to purchase school uniform. You can usually get the shirt and trousers from shops like Asda, Aldi, M&S, Sainsbury. You might be able to get school jumpers from the shops as well or go to shops that mainly sell school uniforms

Can't really advise your hubby as I am into Engineering/IT. He should keep applying as well.

We arrived 2 weeks ago but I have been busy searching for accommodation etc and settling in. I have contacted the council about school and chosen 4 schools for my son. I did everything via email and phone call. Do I need to do anything else ? And will I be required to pay any fees for uniforms etc ? In addition do I need to visit the actual schools or just wait to hear back from the council ? Finally I am studying business analytics, so we are learning the basics of R and data visualization, I’m also learning python and SQL on my own so I can position to apply for data analyst roles in addition to business analyst roles. Can any one give advise on how to get graduate tier 2 sponsorship jobs in these (tech/business) fields. Also when should I start applying. In addition, hubby is has a BSc in accounting and Masters in Marketing. What are his possible job prospects for tier 2 sponsorship? Please any and every advise will be appreciated. You are angry and it will be hard to see reasons with anyone not responding in your direction. The truth is, some of us here are use to getting this crazy responses from organization either in Nigeria or having a representative in Nigeria. They never respect Nigerians and it’s because the Nigerian government don’t respect it’s citizens. Like I said earlier this can’t happen to people from some other top countries. No one can help you, the solution from justwise and direction from HRGuy is just it.

The only way to solve our “docile” (in your words) issue is to elect a good government. Government that can fight for us when we raise up any issue at all. You will be shocked to find out that our government are aware of this and they will act like it’s not something to comment on.

Just be calm cos there is not much you can do. It hurts but that what Nigeria has been turned into. We get disrespected by other countries.

Try vanquis, granite, Aqua and capital one. Do not apply for all of them. Review them and choose the one you feel you have better chance of acceptance. It will come with huge interest rate but do not allow that to discourage you. Use it and make full payment at the end of the month. Within a year, you will start getting approval for many more credit cards.

You can also try your bank. I know Barclays give credit cards to those with limited credit history. Some banks like Lloyds will not though. It took them years to give me credit card but when they give, they will give you 10k to start with.

Nigeria can frustrate person sha. You go to a petrol station, you fill your tank up. Along the road your car stops. You find out the petrol has some water in it. You go to petrol station, it turns out the petrol they supplied them is not a good one. Supplier said the petroleum product imported into the country is not good. No one takes it up. The same president that has lots of duties as the president is the minister of petroleum. No explanation for why this happened or how poor masses can get solution for their present predicament. Everyone acts like it’s not worth addressing.
