Alright guys I need clarity on some few things. I’m an aspirant and intend to apply later in the year, I’m trying to gather necessary documents and prepare well. 1) when you submit statement of account, is the closing balance really necessary? Cause I intend to use my mum as my sponsor and she buys and sells. Meaning the closing balance might be off. How much do you think it’s realistic to have to show POF and also must the morning be left in the account all through the duration of the visa process? 2) how many months statement of account is ok to submit. 3) my mum owns a business she has CAC but she uses her personal account run her business. Would this be an issue? 4) I work also but I don’t think using my own statement of account would work at all. Though I can easily get access to my pay slip. I’ve being working with company since early last year. I intend using my employment letter. Would it affect that I included my employment letter and not put my statement of account? 5) I have a brother in Canada, I’ll prefer not to mention him at all even as ties to Nigeria. I feel putting him in might deter my chances. What’s your take. @ketima @makano @legacyedition @frankrobnn1 and other gurus. Over to you |

Nickoko: Then we can say the fund is not for demonstration. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Ketima: 6:13pm On Feb 16, 2022 |
Nickoko: Sometime last year or a year before in this forum or some other forum, IRCC or would I say the VO INTENTIONALLY delayed an applicants application just to see if the applicant POF was borrowed for demonstration purposes. What made us feel that maybe it was an intentional act was, after months (more than 2months of inactivity after requesting for updated POF), IRCC requested for another updated POF. This time around, immediately he/she submitted it, just an hour later, PPR landed. So it is always adviced that even if one wants to borrow, please explain to the person that the fund will not be available for him or her for up to even 8months as the case maybe. So that the applicant won't be in delima when IRCC requests for updated POF ( which the usually do) by then, the money have been moved. So to your question, if the money is still in his account and intact or have increased (but not with lumpsums but by little little deposits), then is a plus. VO may think maybe, this money isn't for demonstration purpose as initially thought. 3 Likes |

Good day people Is it advisable for me to go directly to HR from law(I have a year experience in HR)... Is it marketable in Nigeria and Canada? Will the VO be willing to grant the permit base on this diversion? Below are the schools am considering applying to, which do you think is the best Fanshawe college Algungun college Conestoga college St Clair college ( graduate certificate) and Seneca college (graduate certificate) Please advise accordingly Thank you |

OtunbaBlack: Hello Otumba, 1). Is not necessarily about having huge money in account. For an account that is active with a lot of inflows and outflows, it is all good. All you need is show funds to cover atleast 1year Tuition + living expenses (board and room) + others ancillary fees. 2). Usually 4-6 account statement is ok. But you can go for MBS to help reduce the size of docs to upload. 3). Good she has CAC? If it is a buying and selling, you can indicate that taxes are paid as she pays for goods. Include the business receipts/invoices etc. Using her personal account isn't bad. Just simple explanation will do. 4). You really need to submit an account of your own no matter how small it's. Using a sposnor lifts a huge POF burden off your account but that doesn't mean you shouldn't submit your own account. So do well to submit yours too. If you're following this forum, some have submitted theirs will just a token and gotten permit. Or still, you may ask your sposnor to send living expenses into your account, then do gift deed to back it up. Also try to get leave approval letter. 5). Your application is about yourself, so you don't need to dwell on your siblings. In section of family ties, you may mention him but put more emphasis on your parents and or your immediate family if you're married. If you have enough socio-economic hometie, financial ties, assets, family or organizational ties to Nigeria, it supercedes any other tie with your brother. Even people whose brother's are resident in Canada that is sponsoring their studies in same Canada got their approvals. So don't worry about it. Your SOP is your tool. So do it well and you're good to go. All the best 1 Like |

codesngr: If you received your BIL since 11th and no other mail till now, all I can say is congratulations. Start to bombard them with emails. Your VO left your PPR on his table and went on valentine grooves that's if you have done medicals. Where no medicals, then is a 50/50. only few instances last year we saw people got PPR without medicals. But don't be scared ok. 1 Like |

codesngr:At this point, just be hopeful and pray it's PPR Cos it's a 50-50 chance....it's always rare for them to give PPR without medicals being done. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Demmy10: 6:58pm On Feb 16, 2022 |
codesngr:Yes, I think it's late, cos obviously a decision has been made on your application. That I don't know, cos not everyone receives medical request. |
